Magda is such a great role for Angela and she sounded great today. I love their recording with Pappano. Angela's got this lovely sense of beautiful mezza-voce singing that conveys vulnerability and enchantment that is unfortunately far too rare today. Much like Ileana Cotrubas. It must be a Romanian thing but all other singers should learn that and have it in their arsenal!
