iv never ever watched x-factor or the like but i agree with ohmybettyswallocks, every1 as there own likes and dis-likes,personally i dont think he did a bad job of singing this song but as always i reckon originals are better
actually I changed my mind, this version is so much more emotional than Matt's version. this one you can feel the hurt of the words of this song. I mean what he's talking about is heart breaking and I get none of that from Matts rendition. Matt is a good singer he has a great voice, he just doesn't do the amazing lyrics of this song justice.

Saw them live last night at the MK Bowl supporting the Foo Fighters and they absolutely blew my mind.
They played every song perfectly and even threw in a new one for good measure.
Such a good bad :)

@diamondgeezer1234567 yeah! but at the same time there´s a line between making good music and knowing how to promote it...I´m not Twat and I didn´t know about the music before Xfactor, I would probably loved it before If got around it....as I can´t stand Matt´s version so I stick with this one.. but surely there´s something wrong with independent bands.. they don´t know how to promote their music and blame the comercial stuff for it...at the end of the day what they really want is.. to sell it!

@readysteady2 If Biffy fans had made sure the song got to no. 1 when it was first released in Jan2010, then it would not have been chosen for Matt. Why can't people accept that the type of music or the band they like is not necessarily liked by everyone else. Mature people can. I don't like Biffy genre of music, but I appreciate that they're a great band, and like they're original version of this song. Matt would have had little or no say in the X Factor arrangement of the song.
