The top three the year Kristi won were all good, with Kristi the best. The year Jenniffer Grey won the second and third place finishers should have been eliminated in the middle of the pack in my opinion. Of course she had a big advnatage she was both a pair skater and solo skater which is like dancing on ice skates so this was easier than what she was use to. Do you think they will get Rudy Galindo for a future episode?

Kristi kind of has an advantage over regular contestants in that she was a figure skater, which means she's already athletic, has good balance and can move well. But, she is one badass dancer.

Mark, like Derek, has that likeability factor that helps their partners win the last 3 seasons. I think Dmitry, Mya'a partner, lacked that and he probably feels bad that he didn't put a freestyle together that blew the audience away. :(

I agree with you. Season 9 was Dmitry's second season. Mya had the potential for a freestyle that would get a 30, but due to Dmitry's inexperience, they suffered.

This was a very demanding routine. I don't understand how Brooke's freestyle (and now Donny's) received the same score as this. It makes no sense.

Me too. I really liked Brooke's Freestyle. Didn't care for Donny's (even though I love Kym).

In fact, I'd probably take Brooke's over Kristi's (not by much though) just because I think Mark has a tendancy to OVER-choreograph his routines sometimes. Like he tries to put too much in one dance that it doesn't breathe. Some other pros have a tendancy to UNDER-choreograph their routines so they feel like they're dragging. Derek, I feel, has found just the right balance. Still love Mark though.

Mark is awesome. He deserved this win with Kristi, who's equally awesome. He was denied the mirror ball last season with Sabrina. I just went to check again, this is still way better than Brooke and Derek's freestyle.

From the first time I saw this guy dance, the cha-cha, season 1, I knew he came out to win! He is awesome and he always gives it his all, and on top of that-he seems like such a NICE person! This was the best freestyle along with Drew's, you can so tell Mark was partners with Julianne. I hope he makes the finals EVERY year!

uhm I don't care for this dance. Yeah I know vote this comment a thumbs down if you want. I've liked Kristi and Mark this season, but to me this dance seemed like the same moves. Most of the lifts seemed the same. They were incredibly synchronized and flashy. But that didn't do it for me. I was bored. Now 2 freestyles that really left my jaw open and eyes bugged out in awe were Apolo and Julianne's and Helio and Julianne's. Those, were the epitomy of amazing freestyles.
