This song is awesome, i really want to hear of that style, is there any band that makes similar songs? I´ve tried searching "Soul Surfers" but i've found nothing.
@TheJackTrades Hi! I'm really happy that you like the song. If you'd like to hear more of our songs, you can always check back at "soulsurfermusic" here on YouTube. I will be posting more songs shortly. Thanks for your support!
Yes indeed. That is Per Wallgren on bass. He is the grooviest bass player I've ever had the pleasure of working with. There is a reason why we decided to give him most of the band's solos. Thanks for your kind remark.
Ah, this song is ace. I'm just on the precipice of getting into acid jazz. Having been a fan of the Chilli Peppers as a child and Jamiroquai, I decided I sought the music with the funkiest bass lines, and found this.
I seldom ever see acid jazz in music stores however, any recommendations as to where I can pick up some of this groove gold?
I'm really glad that you like the song. If you're looking for more groove-based songs, then I would recommend Eddie Harris (check out the song Listen Here) and Lou Donaldson. The Brand New Heavies and Incognito are two bands that really helped define the modern Acid Jazz sound. There's also St. Germain. Ultimately, in my humble opinion, the roots of Acid Jazz are found in the seminal Blue Note jazz recordings of the 60's. Check out Wes Montgomery's song Tear it down.
bravooooooo!

Great track. Sound quality isn't the best, but I really enjoy the groove.
You shouldn't be from Denmark by any chance? Just guessing by the names.
And on 0:57, is that a picture of Playa de Levante in Benidorm, Spain?

@0eyvind Hi! We were a band out of Sweden. We had a lot of fun with this song. It was recorded in a four track home studio back in 1998.
The pictures were taken here in Hawaii by a family friend; I moved here eight years ago.

Bad quality...
Nicely done, but actually I can't judge if the recording qual sucks or it's youtube.

We recorded the song on a four-track portable studio as a demo track. The tape was then transferred to an MP3 file and then uploaded to YouTube...

Try putting it mp4

The song is awesome, but why does every groovy song need a woman screeching in a high pitch about love?
Can't we just get the funk alone?

Check out Incognito - Jazz Funk album - Summers Ended or Parisienne Girl very little soul warbling.
