this song was not created as a song, it was created as a request for iD's game RAGE, if you don't know what iD is, then i believe you don't know how the fps genre started, i feel sorry for you if you've never played doom, quake or wolfenstein, now it's RAGE, another great game with a song from a special artist as requested specifically by the iD - stormy desert, just like wasteland, chosen one - the survivor of the ark, Rage on terror... the bandits and the mutants, need more? Great song.

They really do go all out for game soundtracks, so it's really quite good that music artists get access to a new genre of fans. ^^ I've seen peoples reaction to an artist they've never heard of, on the tv, advertising a new album and the reaction often being "Who's that? Sounds crap" Yet they hear it on a favorite game, then it's "Epic song! I'm gunna go see if I can find it on Youtube" and a new fan is born :)

Usually i'm more into Hard Rock/Metall, but when i heard this song i imediately liked it. I hadn't heard of him before, but id's RAGE-Trailer fixed that for me ;) At first it reminded me of Monster Magnet, but was different at the same time. The id-guys prove again that they have an excellent taste! Imagine a Motion Picture about Rage, Roadmovie-Style, with more music like this and directed by Tarantino & Rodriguez.

However, the ladder is on fire, meaning no one will get into heaven, and they're stuck on earth. so think of it as, they're stuck in the after, there was no 7 year war, and there was no rapture, but the Earth still got ravaged and people are miserable. They, at this point, would welcome burning in hell, but they won't...
