  • @MONEYMAN101ish it's a strong case of male mentality and stubborness

  • @MONEYMAN101ish Now remember we just want to frighten him, oh wait hes dead, ye lets just look past this lol

  • A brilliant Harris , in his verry zenith in dis movie .

  • This along with My Left Foot have to be some of Jim Sheriden's best films, and prime examples of how well film can portray rural Ireland without all the preconceived nonsense American film makers would think.

  • This is my Field!

  • were can u get a summary of this ?

  • savage film

  • Part one shows Bull as an ignorant farmer, with a love of the land. Lacking in refinement, with little regard for his wife. Has put all his faith in the land and his son. He has a glutonous appetite, sorelacking in table manners, just as his zest for life on the land.

  • My, Richard Harris hasn't any table manners. Eating like a disgusting ill mannered person at the table while his wife sits and can't touch her own meal for the disgusting noises that he is making. I know it was to be portrayed that way, but for some reason, it would appear to me that he really eats like that. Jabber chops, glutonous sounds made by a pig.

  • @keedo45 EatS? Richard Harris died in 2002.

Richard Harris was born into a wealthy family who owned the bigges flour mill company in Limerick. He grew up in a villa on the Ennis road with servants and all; I'm pretty sure he knew table manners and etiquette.

  • @Huldumavur he did sadly yes. i was watching a very good interview where he told a true but very funny story (when he was married in london) about how he told his wife he was going to buy a newspaper. he went to buy the newspaper (in ireland)

  • I think that John Hurt should have gotten a nomination for best supporting actor. A man who speaks queen's English portraying an Irish fool perfectly. He is excellent in it. Great film one of my all time favorites. Fantastic play also by a great playwright and great Irishman not so sure about Listowel tho... Only joking, go to the races every year and always have a few in John B Keane's pub and then get thrown out of the mermaids! Anyway wish I did it for my junior cert.
