Is that the rail that goes through the tschenobyl err ruckles trailerpark area?
Lived there for a while and damn i sure miss it that much that when the passes are free i am coming back to live again in GF cuz u don't know what u got till it's gone.
It was supposed to close last week, but they cant because the government is involved. I tried to send a letter to this railway telling them not to abandon the line but I got a reply with some VERY rude things in it. He says that railfans are faggots. Its clear that the staff of this railway have some serious problems.

That railway wants to abandon in the Fall. I will fight for my life to make sure that does not happen. Join my facebook group "Don't abandon the rail line from Kettle Falls to Grand Forks". I need all the support I can get!!
I read somewhere that it will be shutdown in October 2009 (unless the mills reopen or find other goods to haul). But there are people trying to prevent the closure, I'm trying to find other resources that the railway can haul and hopefully one day all the rail lines here will be saved and rebuilt.

The train only is a local switching railroad in Grand Forks. It switches cars to and from the BN interchange just south of Grand Forks. Since this video was made, Canpar industries closed its doors and the sawmill went into bankruptcy protection. Without these two shippers, the railroad doesn't have anything to haul and may close

The tracks between Grand Forks and Castlegar were removed in 1990.

I like the Hudson Bay Railway paint. You don't see that very much, thought they were only in northern Manitoba.
