She is the most "genuine" person in the industry. She and Fantasia, they don't come across as pretentious. However, was raised well. No scandals and all ways carries herself as a lady.
See, you can just close your eyes and rock out to this and just ride the beat and LISTEN TO THE LYRICS, you can't even do that now because the music is so bland and garbage and it all sounds the same, because it all IS the same and everybody is competing with eachother rather than just challenging THEMSELVES artistically ...and dont even get me started on the lyrics.

This is, hands down, one of my all-time favorite performances of any song sung live in the history of all performances. We had this performance recorded on VHS and wore it thin. This was so good we started calling it simply "The Performance".
I LOOOOVE the richness of her voice when she was in her debut era! She kinda toned that down later on and I didn't like that. I loved the rawness of her vocals back then!!!
I know around her second cd Arista tried to make her poppish but u cant hide that voice behind teeny popper videos and stylized choreographer shes too raw for that and eventually she broke through
You know something, the reason why her voice sounded so much deeper and richer when she was younger, was because her teeth were messed up. If u noticed she doesn't open her mouth real wide when she was singing. Now that her teeth are fixed she opens her mouth wider giving her voice and words and louder and somewhat different sound..

This is a classic moment. I LOVE Monica - and have since 'Miss Thang' which is a classic record of the 90's and I still play it TODAY. She is to me what Mary J. is to my aunt... This is, hands down, one of my all-time favorite performances of any song sung live in the history of all performances. We had this performance recorded on VHS and wore it thin. This was so good we started calling it simply "The Performance".

I LOOOOVE the richness of her voice when she was in her debut era! She kinda toned that down later on and I didn't like that. I loved the rawness of her vocals back then!!!

I know around her second cd Arista tried to make her poppish but u cant hide that voice behind teeny popper videos and stylized choreographer shes too raw for that and eventually she broke through

You know something, the reason why her voice sounded so much deeper and richer when she was younger, was because her teeth were messed up. If u noticed she doesn't open her mouth real wide when she was singing. Now that her teeth are fixed she opens her mouth wider giving her voice and words and louder and somewhat different sound..
