I was at track when the storm hit, I hit my face off a fense, couldn't see anything and it was hailing, all the track equipment was thrown over the fence into the nearby forest and everything was just hell
Remember after the blizzard of 78' how much of the seawall was missing chunks for years, and the metal railings were all twisted? All from Swampscott down past Lynn
I used to live on the corner of Atlantic and Broad. My wife and I used to walk the beach all the time, and especially loved storms! We haven't lived there in almost 10 years, so when I saw this, it instantly became a favorite.
Wow, its was coming up at the swampscott sign! it usally only gets high just before red rock(not the resturant, the common that bulges out from the road, for those not from the area).
Thank you! So atmospheric!

My family lived on Monument Ave from 1964-1979. We got some major storms back then- and of course, the blizzard of 78'.

Beautiful! California can have its swimming pools, I'll take my ocean anytime. Great video, but I've seen it rougher than this.

I remember that storm... I live in a forested part of Swampscott, and about 5 big trees fell.
It was a bit depressing.

Cool. Have you ever been to Nantasket Beach during a storm? It can get pretty rough but It's really fasinating to watch Mother Nature at work.
