  • Remember after the blizzard of 78' how much of the seawall was missing chunks for years, and the metal railings were all twisted? All from Swampscott down past Lynn

  • My family lived on Monument Ave from 1964-1979. We got some major storms back then- and of course, the blizzard of 78'.

    It was a bit depressing.

  • I used to live on the corner of Atlantic and Broad. My wife and I used to walk the beach all the time, and especially loved storms! We haven't lived there in almost 10 years, so when I saw this, it instantly became a favorite.

  • God, I Love this Clip! I use to live on Blodgett Ave. and remember well these type of storms coming in.Thanks for the memories....

  • Wow, its was coming up at the swampscott sign! it usally only gets high just before red rock(not the resturant, the common that bulges out from the road, for those not from the area).

  • I hate Swampscott

  • Cool. Have you ever been to Nantasket Beach during a storm? It can get pretty rough but It's really fasinating to watch Mother Nature at work.
