whoa whoa whoa w8. i'm so confused now. idk if wave dashing changed or i'm just stupid but wasnt it supposed to be f, qcf, f qcf, f, etc for wave dash? or is it f, qcf, qcf, qcf now?
@byakokoko i've been a tekken fan for a while, but im used to playing on the playstation controller. I have this on 360 is it easier on a ps3 controller?
hey @snoopybishop stop trolling. both are fantastic games but melee wd are better imo too. and idk where the unbalnced part is located because a Donkey Kong won in my state tournament ! but this vid is about tekken so lets not keep this conversation going
Yeah but the thing is, no matter how much you know and how good you are, online players still have the advantage because you have to do your moves at about 0.5 seconds in advance, which is good if you have loads of experience in playing online but for those who can't actually tolerate practising against spammers, they'll get annoyed quickly. Cool tricks though, will help my survival kill-count, I can only get about 20 kills with Paul, unless I don't see Alisa, then it's about 23.
@byakokoko idk yet but your Jin makes me want to consider the mashima family and I'm a fan of kazuya. I also heard Dan (the ryu/Ken rip off) will actually be moved to the tekken roster for good and they'll make him a better character so if he's good ill use him or Paul but honestly I'm having trouble choosing I like the feel of everybody so far lol
@byakokoko I also heard in SF x Tekken that the characters will play according to their platform as in Tekken peeps will combo respectively to their tradition as will SF characters who I'm hoping will fight a little more like their mvc counterparts for than classic SF but it wont make a difference either way right? Hopefully Chun will keep her sick ass jump cancels XD
@byakokoko thanks man :) I'm a noobie for now but I'll keep working @ it and watching out for more of your vids I just happened to stumble upon this page when I googled some tips and must know things and subbed. Also I was talking about the mash ups which I'm exited for both platforms! ;) how bout you I'd love to see some vids soon especially when I get my arcade stick :P
I'm slightly interested in the mashups, but it depends on how the final games come out. I heard about some gem system that Street Fighter x Tekken is going to use, and have far less interest now. As for Tekken, which character(s) do you plan on using?
2 Q's, 1. Is wave dashing pretty much like doing a dragon punch/shoryuken motion and 2. I'm not entirely new to tekken but I'd like to get into since I just bought it today and want to know will playing this game be a good feel for all the upcoming tekken and vs tekken games coming?
1.) Yes, it's basically a shoryuken motion, but unlike a executing a DP, this command requires more precision - mainly if you're going to attempt lightdashing. As for your second question, yes, the movement in T6 is almost exactly as it is in upcoming Tekken games. Practicing movement in Tekken 6 can be extremely helpful for the upcoming Tag Tournament 2. I don't believe the versus games will utilize the same movement, though (assuming you're talking about the SF/Tekken mashups).
@byakokoko lol I was directed here by a friend and both of us sharing our opinions wont solve anything because we are different and see things differently . I see tekken as unskilled unfair unlimited juggles and you see ssbm as a unbalanced and scrubby Game but its cool :)
No, sir, this is more than just "seeing things differently" as you put it. You've said exactly what I thought you would eventually allude to in this conversation; juggles in Tekken. This proves that what you're saying is purely conjecture based on a common, and false preconception about Tekken. You can watch several high level matches in Tekken, and you won't find it being a competition of juggles. Hell, there are even matches where players will go without a single juggle starter
Furthermore, you're comment doesn't even make sense when you say "Unlimited juggles". What the hell does that even mean, kid? It's funny you would mention playing MVC, and Blazblue - as if that's supposed to add some validity to what you're saying - when both of those games have some of the longest lasting juggles than any fighting game. So clearly, that isn't really the issue for you, is it? I play those games, too, so I can personally attest to this fact.
@byakokoko im a sf, blazblue and mvc tournament player so I play with the big boys .I just don't take tekken seriously. And ssbm takes more skill than you think just go look at some pros play on youtube then you'll understand
So you can play in a tournament; this doesn't validate anything you're saying about Smash Bros - it's still a kid's game with horrible balance. I was at MLG Florida and I saw "pros" lol playing SSBM, and I'm always unimpressed by its scrubiness. This video only shows a basic wavedash; just watch top korean players using lightdashing, snake dashing, and you'll see how intimidating a wavedash can be in Tekken. If you don't take Tekken seriously, then why'd you even come here? -_-
No, because you can't say Tekken is a scrubby game, period. :) I don't even know where you're getting the "emo" part from lol Anyway, whenever you're ready to play real fighting games with the big boys, let me know. You know, games that require ACTUAL skill to play, and don't have a roster full of children's mascots.
Is it PS3 or 360? Which one do u play with? Analog or Directional?
360 directional get hard fast if we use it a lot (Tekken, Street Fighter, KoF, Mortal Kombat). Any tips for who uses 360 analog to play? I cant perform wavedashes using the analog (i will train..just started playing Tekken!).
if you play mortal kombat then stick to playing mortal kombat. tekken is a WAY different game. PLEASE, mortal kombat, street fighter etc... players... stay away from tekken - don't want you ruining the game.
for the B! 3,1,DEWHF. I haven't been able to hit it even once. Does it require a short dash? long dash? I'm thinkin I need to dash longer and it'll hit when the opponent is lower in the air. Is that right?
Yes he can and yes it is spamming and if you're not a complete dumbshit spamming shouldn't be a problem to you as every move can be blocked/parried/reversed/broken/dodged somehow.
Actually, i prefer Kazuya over jin. I don't know why. (O_o) The EWGF is supposed to be the same for all mishima bloodline fighters, but kazuya is EPIC. Devil jin is just jin's failed attempt to become kazuya.
After watching this video I feel like I should just give up now because I don't have the knowledge or dexterity to play this game. I'll just watch videos. :P
None of the getup mid kicks are safe. FUFT 4 is -12, just some character's don't have tools to punish it. While FUFA 4 -14, FDFT and FDFA are much more punishable than both.

im talking about ppl who will not attack you att all they just sit there and wait for you to do a high attack so they can reverse it, as in they dont attack you once, just wait for that reversal, it actually makes them really easy to beat
ok last one, in the bound combo (d 3+4, b+3, 1 [3,3], 3 1, ewgf) how do you land the ewgf at the end, ive mastered the ewgf, but i cant execute it before my opponent falls down same with the ewhf to ewgf, i can do those both in a row, but not fast enough to keep the opponent in the air with the ( 1 [3,3]) to start a bound combo, help?
also, im not sure if you use asuka at all, ive mastered her( and i dont mean continuously spamming her attack reversals like some idiots) but its possible to do the back handspring (f,u,b) then press 3 to immediately do what would normally be her (f,f+3) it's very useful for making an opponent wiff then coming back for a strong attack, and i have one more question which will be in my last comment lol sry for talking your ear off
hey byakokoko, i just found out a very cool trick and you being a jin master probably already know about it but here it is nonetheless: when performing jin's mental alertness(b+1) it is possible to perform all forward dash moves(f,f+2; f,f+4; and f,f+3) do the (b+1) then hold f while pressing 2,3, or 4, this can be done fast enough that the mental alerness is barely even visible before execution, so a no delay right axe kick to immediately drop someone is possible, or a left axe to ewgf; nice
Yeah I'm familiar with the mental alertness forward dash cancel. As for the ewhf to end a combo, the main thing is doing a dashing ewhf to end it. I'm not 100% on it yet, I still need practice, as well. :)
thanks alot let me kno if u figure out a way to land that ew hit 100% cause im really tryin to mix up my jin bound game it would be a great help, thanks again your tutorials and videos have been a great help to me, i can do things with jin now that i never thought i could do thanks to you so keep up the good stuff!
Well, it's jab punishable, but because of the push back it's just out of reach. Jin's EWHF would land, but you have to execute it asap. Hey there Byakokoko. At 2:56 on this video, you explain how to do Jin's parry. However, I do not know what <--- + X(3]+square(1)] means. Could you be so kind to break this explanation down further?
whoa whoa whoa w8. i'm so confused now. idk if wave dashing changed or i'm just stupid but wasnt it supposed to be f, qcf, f qcf, f, etc for wave dash? or is it f, qcf, qcf, qcf now?

Wavedashing isn't impossible, and it's not as difficult as you think.
Wavedashing isn't about speed, it's about precision and timing.
It takes time to master, but gives you a HUGE advantage when actually using it in a match. (confuses opponent, more mixup game).
This technique is especially advantageous to use with a Mishima character. (Jin, Hei, Kaz, DVJ)
Take the time to learn this technique if you're really interested by it's benefits

@jeddrage it's cause you could barely even play well online and jin is a strict execution character just like kazuya. damn online lag.. ._.

Hey there Byakokoko. At 2:56 on this video, you explain how to do Jin's parry. However, I do not know what <--- + X(3]+square(1)] means. Could you be so kind to break this explanation down further?
Zenith8896 2 years ago
I can't be broken down any further. You press back and LP + LK at the same time
