  • Yo conocía a todas las palabras para esto, pero luego me tomó una flecha en la rodilla.....

    -translation-

I used to know all the words to this but then I took an arrow to the knee...

  • quien canta esa cancion. who sings this song

  • Where are the lyrics?

  • Comment removed

  • its supposed to be quiri, quiri, quiri, quiri

  • i know all the words to de colores and im proud to be an american

  • I think it's sad that the top comments kinda make it a competition on how they found the song. Me personally was raised in a Mexican family and learned this song as a child. It's very traditional and well known in the Mexican culture. I thought it was awesome how Flobots mentioned this song in what i think is their best song. Both songs should be listened to and appreciated.

  • This is so beautifully done. The best rendition of DeColores I've heard.

  • This song has a whole new meaning to me after this weekend NFTD #45

  • Flobots's still bringin' me here.

  • my dad was just telling me that this was sung to Catholic folks after they did a cursillo (apparently it's a 'short course' on religion and living a better life, hence the name) back when he was a kid in the philippines. never knew any of this until today. I SERIOUSLY THOUGHT HE WAS KIDDING

  • @blewnuts -- Just read your posting, very interesting! Your dad's explanation is on target but it is much much more than a short course. It is really aimed at people who already have some type of religion, and a relationship with our savior, in their lives, but want to expand on that. I made my "cursillo" three years ago and it changed my life in so many wonderful ways. Des Colores!!!!

  • de colores... olè!

  • de colores is the colors...lol right?

  • Nov 19th 2010; Joan Baez involved in accident. Falling from the equivalent distance of a second story window, Ms. Baez survives the fall and was soon released from the hospital, on her own recognizes to further reccuperate. She doesn't intend to cancel any engagements and expects to honour them all. But the voice is an instrument of the body, and thus reflects it. Such a shock as this will affect your voice, so give yourself a nice long refreshing break for a change. God Bless you Joan.

  • Beautiful song. So much appreciated it. Thankyou.

  • For printable words and translation see childrens songs and nursery rhymes at mamalisa.com. I am not affiliated with them. Both sides Spanish and English translation is shown and is printable which makes learning the song and Spanish easier. Stories are told about the song- oral history and part story telling. Fact: song became associated with 3 days of Catholic training for regular people-- it was joyful and hopeful. In 1960's the song became popular in the USA when learning Spanish.
