  • Those boots are so cute!

  • Love these! Show us how you wear them!

  • wow he really looks like a woman

  • I died a little inside when i saw those awesome vintage boots being cut....

  • @metalchick891 I don't know if they were "vintage" so much as pre-owned and well worn.

  • I made my own today! Even if a little different than yours. Thanks a looooooooooot for the idea!!! :)

    Cheers for Italy!

  • I need to find a thrift store

  • Just got my $3 pair of boots from the local thrift store. Can't wait to try this!

  • do both boots have to have the same dsign?

  • I don't have any boots :( and I really want to do this

  • So cool! Unfortunately, my mother would kill me if I cut up my boots... so who else's boots could I cut...?

  • SO i just saw the boots you were inspires by and they are over $300! This is so much better because it is inexpensive and they are you're own, no one else is going to have them!

  • Thanks for the DIY. I saw these very expensively on the interwebs. I KNEW I could do it myself! Thanks!

  • is that a mustache ring?

  • @cplova333 yes! It's the Mr. Kate Full Finger Logo ring from my jewelry collection. It's listed in my 'shop' on mrkate.com ...xx!

  • OMG this was the best idea ever & I didn't find it until spring is only a couple weeks away!! =( oh well, I am still going to make these & can prolly get cheap boots on an off season sale.. or good will .. LOVE THE IDEA!!!!!!!!

  • WOW these are like the greatest boots ever!

  • these boots are soo cute:)

  • i would so do this to my boots but i wouldn't too much stuff overall great tutorial (:

  • @TheMrkate

This is the very first video i saw of your's (and i loved it) i was just wondering tho are they heavy?

Like with all the belt's and scrap's of t shirt's and lace and just the boot's in all aren't they heavy?

    Thank you!!

  • @trendyme10101 they are a good kind of heavy. It all depends on what you use. If you use faux leather belts from bargain stores, etc. then they will be light. If you use lots of metal buckles, thick belts, etc. they will be more hefty. But not too heavy to wear all the time! ; )

  • epic intro is epic!

  • very cool...just subbed!

  • ever since i saw this tutorial i've been on the hunt for cowboy boots at thrift stores and can never find them in my size! all that i find are huge! :(

  • this is so creative! i wish i had cowboy boots to make this!!

  • What kind of outfits can you wear these with?

  • It will be really cool if you could make a tutorial of how to make these decorations in a way that you can put it on and off if you want to :)

  • Kate is so cute!

  • OMG! Love this! So gonna DIM :P

  • awesome AWESOME. seriously, LOVE IT

  • @Mr Kate - Love, love, LOVE! Will have to squeeze some time in somewhere to make these. That 3M super adhesive stuff you mentioned at the end, is that a contact adhesive like the e6000?

  • Terrible that you use glue... but the crafted boots are very nice.

  • Yeah, I can imagine stomping around in 1ft deep snow and sub zero temperatures in Ohio in these lol I love this idea!! Thanks for sharing :D

  • Love this idea, thank you!

  • you used the e6000 without the masks!

  • These boots are amazing

  • Wow! I'm so in love with this idea!

  • Totally cool project, gonna do some with my old shoes instead of throwing them away :D

  • This is such a great idea! Do you think you could do a video on how to style these boots and how to wear them in outfits?

  • @Garnet8852 that's a great idea! i'll work on that for sure! thanks!

  • If your boots are broken in and soft, you can just roll them down without having to cut them. I wear my cowboy boots rolled down (and occasionally with belts, ribbon or necklaces wrapped around them) all of the time. It's a great way to get this look while still keeping the integrity of your cowboy boots.

  • beautiful! these are so awesome

  • HOLY THESE ARE SO AMAZING>

  • LOVE these! Too bad I can never find thrifted cowboy boots. Stupid Iowa thrift stores...

  • OMG. I really want to do this. Gotta get to a thrift store and find some nice broken in boots.

  • so cute!!!!!

  • Oh my goodness!!! So freaking cute!!! I am on the hunt for some boots in my size...

  • love them! tho i can never find cowboy boots at the thrift store in my size, they are always WAY too big because they are meant for man feet ha ha!

  • I love how im watching this and my ad is for boots on sale for 30-50% off.

  • I love the boots so so much! I'm totally gong to have to make a pair!

BTW I also love the video and editing work in this video :)

  • AWESOME

  • Amazing!

  • Wow this is something new i hadnt seen on youtube.

  • SO GOOD SO GOOD.

  • These are so cute! I really like them. This is why sometimes I wish I was a girl. Too bad. Hope to see future DIY projects, just like this!

    Thanks.

  • @Marc16Jacobs16 Cute! :)

  • @Marc16Jacobs16 I am sure you could do a "masculine" version of this with small steel chains, studs, old razor blades and stuff from the hardware store! you don't have to overkitsch them...just punk 'em up a bit ;)!

  • @Marc16Jacobs16 You probably could do something very similar, more manly. I would love to see a guy's take on this project...

  • @Marc16Jacobs16 why can't you just make a boy version? biker boots with studded &/or snakeskin belts & chains would be hot & masculine & very rick owens. just saying.

  • This is awesome! Freepeople have boots like this selling for like $300...

  • your intro is amazing !<3

  • they r soooo sick!

  • i really wanna try this now!!
