Is this compatable with all FPS and 3rdPS games on PS3? The only reason I have never got a PS3 is because there was never a mouse option. I still don't have a PS3 but I've wanted to play a game called binary domain but is not available on PC... bummer :(

@CONKER17 what do you mean? the eagle eye will work with the ps3 assuming you have a usb keyboard and mouse to use with it (and the device itself naturally), and the ps3 was never designed to have keyboards and mice used with it to play games with the exception of unreal tourney 3. this device converts the keyboard and mouse into a ps3 controller signal so it will work with the ps3. assuming you already have a kb&m that is usb, all it needs is the device itself and a ps3 to use it with.
@Deathlysushi They tried to make it better HOWEVER they break 10 times easyer. I went though 4 ps3 controllers they suck, analog sticks break easy as hell. Yet my ps2 controller still works. They built that to last unlike the ps3 one
i think it's not a bad idea doing this. people that want to play with mouse and keyboard but dont have the graphiccard for it to do it could play with keyboard and mouse on ps3 and never have fps lag.
@TheCrazydarkgamer001 yes and no. you can map the buttons for any game, but not all games are optimal for keyboard and mouse and will be easier to play with a controller. On the plus side the device turnes any controller pluged through the device into a turbo controller for whatever turbo switch you have selected on the device.
I actually looked into this setup on a PS3 and have read some reviews. A few of the people said that on console depending on the game settings, it doesn't matter how fast you whip the mouse it will just recognize that you are moving to the left it would just act as if you were hitting right or left on an analog.. is that true?? Anyone here tried it?
@nitxuj that review was probably for a different device; this device's main draw is that is solves that problem by emulating a pc kb/m setip rather than mapping the direction the mouse moves as buttons.
@chinonononozu There's actually a game interface dev company called Madcatz (if I remember right) who make pads for most consoles and have worked on that issue, making the pad intelligently alter it's accel/sens on the fly to make it more accurate and easy to use in all situations.

My point is that it's a matter of preference be it arcadey games or fps games or any type of game. the player is what's important. if the player is not good at gamepad but good at kb/m, they use kb/m and vice versa. that's not to say there are advantages and disadvantages to different controls; it's just that depending on how good the player is they can make use of the advantages and disadvantages of each.
@blurayuser speed is very important in a platformer and, surprise, most people who do speed runs of platformers such as super meat boy prefer a gamepad over kb/m. btw there is more to gaming than fps games... again, it's a mater of preference. some people are just better with one than they are with another because it is what they're used to.
You might as well use a special controller that is connected to your brain and locks on targets as soon you see them? I mean, mouse and keyboard should stay on the PC, otherwise you're being a bick dick to those using the controllers.
@miikhailov is it not an equally unfair advantage to have those who have grown up on console fps' to play against those who played on pc rather than consoles and now are playing on consoles? besides not everyone has it, and it is still limited in sensitivity, meaning you have to have a sensitive mouse in order to have a noticible advantage in most games. if you use a regular mouse it's more or less the game with only the preference advantage being balenced out.

My point is that you have much, much more potential to play better with a keyboard and mouse. For starters go and watch some pro CS 1.6 here on youtube. Secondly, go and watch some pro Starcraft Broodwar played by koreans. Now if you in your lifetime can perform just as good with a controller in those games as the pros, then you can have everything I own.

@Cproductionss again, not everyone would agree with you. for me, some games i prefer with a controller like platformers and adventure games, and some games i prefer with keyboard and mouse like FPS and RTS games. it comes down to which game it is. that being said, it's a useful advantage to be able to choose which 1, which is why i use xpadder on pc and the device in this video for ps3.

Mouse n keyboard will allways be better than any controller out there, but bringing it to console isnt right, keep it on the pc or at least restrict use on multiplayer, since its a HUGE advantage.
there are some people who are as good with dualshocks as pc gamers are with kb/m, so it's just a matter or preference more than a true advantage. It's advantageous to pc gamers like me, but no more than the dualshock is an advantage to some console gamers. just depends on which you have more skill at using.

easier for those of us who have grown up more on using pc more than consoles. there are pros that use both configurations, and while mouse is more accurate, it's at the cost of a slight discomfort after long periods of use (of course this is dependent of the design of the kb/m and gamepad). so it really depends on personal preference. i prefer kb/m, and others prefer gamepad. if they want to play fps games with gamepads, fine, but there should also be kb/m controls; ergo this device

@Jokerprodution with this device yes. keep in mind it's the same cost as a controller ($60), it requires basic pc knowledge in order to fine tune it, and it doesn't come with a keyboard and mouse, meaning you either have to find a usb keyboard and a usb mouse like i did or buy them; the device is only able to use a usb Keyboards and a usb mouse. Still it was worth my money since i'm going to use it to play portal 2 on ps3 with KB/M.
@Permafry42 haha I'm not so sure of that. while the analog stick is dragging across the screen and the mouse is whipping as fat as you want it to.. you have an advantage with mouse if you know how to use it.

A good console player on analog will not be as precise as quickly as the best pc user when aiming in any FPS.. Tell you the main thing about consoles with fps games? Someone running at about 15 yards is faster than your turning speed, so you can't catch them up to kill them. Should be labelled 'Irritant'.

@jonkam10 and keyboard and mouse (the tradition kind) are at a design disadvantage and are proven to give cramps to people who play longer that 3 hours at a time. Again, it's a matter of preference. I prefer precision over comfort (why i bought this device), but others may prefer comfort over precision. each is better for different reasons.

i like using a dualshock for playing console emulators, platformers, and rpg games on the pc, but that's my preference. as for fps games, mouse and keyboard will always be better (IMO) simply because it has higher possible sensitivity then controllers. that's why i bought the eagle eye: so i can play any ps3 game using keyboard and mouse.
A console controller on a PC.... don't understand the concept unless its for racing games. Have had a PS3 for a few days and the controller sucks for FPS games. BIG TIME. Wish all PS3 FPS games supported a mouse and keyboard. MS decided against allowing PC players to play against console XBox players simply because the PC players kicked their butt everytime. I just want to throw the damn controller in the trash rather than play a FPS game with it.
@pizzy333 ask their youtube page (check the link to the original video; they're answering questions there.) from what they've said before, it looks like it's coming out in a week or so.
However, this seems to work VERY well when it comes to accuracy with the mouse - which is the whole point. I'm not too crazy on the keyboard side of it (ideally I'd prever a joystick / mouse combo, but joysticks don't have enough buttons) but since playing Half-Life on PC I was amazed at how smooth mouse movements are for aiming.
If memory serves there were once rumours floating around regarding Sony introducing universal KBM support like UT3's.

@miikhailov i'm not trying to be pro, i'm not trying to win a tournies and i wouldn't be awkward if i had the means to play kb/m; hence why i bought this converter. i'm trying to have fun, this control scheme lets me have fun without having to do so using a method i dislike, and that's why i would play the way I want to; not the way others want me to. in otherwords, i play that way because i want to and this device allows me to do so.

@Permafry42 I wouldn't mind you using kb/m in single player... problem is when you play MP and you unbalance the whole experience for other players. It's like if people were playing paintball with normal powered guns, and then you bring a slightly more accurate and better gun to the game. Somewhere you have to draw the line. I'm happy to see though that the mouse movement isn't perfected.

@JBSUX2255 Well, if you mostly use a controller and not the kb/m then you're obviously better with the controller. My point isn't that though. My point is that you have much, much more potential to play better with a keyboard and mouse. For starters go and watch some pro CS 1.6 here on youtube. Secondly, go and watch some pro Starcraft Broodwar played by koreans. Now if you in your lifetime can perform just as good with a controller in those games as the pros, then you can have everything I own.

@Cproductionss again, not everyone would agree with you. for me, some games i prefer with a controller like platformers and adventure games, and some games i prefer with keyboard and mouse like FPS and RTS games. it comes down to which game it is. that being said, it's a useful advantage to be able to choose which 1, which is why i use xpadder on pc and the device in this video for ps3.

Mouse n keyboard will allways be better than any controller out there, but bringing it to console isnt right, keep it on the pc or at least restrict use on multiplayer, since its a HUGE advantage.

there are some people who are as good with dualshocks as pc gamers are with kb/m, so it's just a matter or preference more than a true advantage. It's advantageous to pc gamers like me, but no more than the dualshock is an advantage to some console gamers. just depends on which you have more skill at using.

easier for those of us who have grown up more on using pc more than consoles. there are pros that use both configurations, and while mouse is more accurate, it's at the cost of a slight discomfort after long periods of use (of course this is dependent of the design of the kb/m and gamepad). so it really depends on personal preference. i prefer kb/m, and others prefer gamepad. if they want to play fps games with gamepads, fine, but there should also be kb/m controls; ergo this device

@Jokerprodution with this device yes. keep in mind it's the same cost as a controller ($60), it requires basic pc knowledge in order to fine tune it, and it doesn't come with a keyboard and mouse, meaning you either have to find a usb keyboard and a usb mouse like i did or buy them; the device is only able to use a usb Keyboards and a usb mouse. Still it was worth my money since i'm going to use it to play portal 2 on ps3 with KB/M.

@Permafry42 it doesn't matter how fast you set the sensitivity. Its a constant speed dope. A good console player on analog will not be as precise as quickly as the best pc user when aiming in any FPS.. Tell you the main thing about consoles with fps games? Someone running at about 15 yards is faster than your turning speed, so you can't catch them up to kill them. Should be labelled 'Irritant'.

@jonkam10 and keyboard and mouse (the tradition kind) are at a design disadvantage and are proven to give cramps to people who play longer that 3 hours at a time. Again, it's a matter of preference. I prefer precision over comfort (why i bought this device), but others may prefer comfort over precision. each is better for different reasons.

i like using a dualshock for playing console emulators, platformers, and rpg games on the pc, but that's my preference. as for fps games, mouse and keyboard will always be better (IMO) simply because it has higher possible sensitivity then controllers. that's why i bought the eagle eye: so i can play any ps3 game using keyboard and mouse.

A console controller on a PC.... don't understand the concept unless its for racing games. Have had a PS3 for a few days and the controller sucks for FPS games. BIG TIME. Wish all PS3 FPS games supported a mouse and keyboard. MS decided against allowing PC players to play against console XBox players simply because the PC players kicked their butt everytime. I just want to throw the damn controller in the trash rather than play a FPS game with it.

Hmmm...damn, I wish they did shipping to Europe.
However, this seems to work VERY well when it comes to accuracy with the mouse - which is the whole point. I'm not too crazy on the keyboard side of it (ideally I'd prever a joystick / mouse combo, but joysticks don't have enough buttons) but since playing Half-Life on PC I was amazed at how smooth mouse movements are for aiming.
If memory serves there were once rumours floating around regarding Sony introducing universal KBM support like UT3's.
