Eartha Kitt was my favorite Catwoman! A lot of people say that Julie Newmar "created" the role because she was the first, but Eartha Kitt brought claws to the cat burgler. MEOW!!!

Same here. I'm a 33 year old gay white Jewish guy, but it doesn't matter, Eartha appealed to everyone like us. My straight friends (male and female) don't understand the Eartha Kitt thing. I am straight and I do get it. It was her visage, her aura, her presence. When you are an actress, a great one you just have the it factor. she had it. but not just for actors but I think all of us have the IT factor, some of us just lack the knowledge on how to tap into it. Miss Kitt was so charismatic, witty and intelligent, that I think her histrionic talents came second. I always wanted to meet her, it was very sad for me when she passed away and I heard the news on the radio. She was a great entertainer, and did so much, she was well known and loved in Europe as in the rest of this continent. What a great and interesting lady. I simply loved her.
