What cam did you use for this? I'm trying to find a good cam to use with hammer editor and "Game Cam" keeps coming up, which just messes up hammer editor when it's active.

When I try to run hammer editor, It won't work no matetr what.

I have it set on Hl2- DM, and engine version is HL2- episode 1.

I played all my games aleast once.

Try to set it to Counter Strike: Source (if you have it) and if it wont work, try to update Source SDK files. If that wont work neither, try to re-installing Source SDK :) Good luck!

When you have done map (or testing it) do it from Valve Hammer Editor, so it will automaticly put those files u need into right folders. (If you have any errors in your map, it wont save the map, so check for the problems.)

Did you installed Source SDK from your steam "Tools" tab? On there when you open Hammer Editor, it will be automaticly setupped..
