Succubus was really easy for me in both the Psx & PSP version of the game because I could not find any other weapons besides the short sword, red rust, jewel knuckles, and Alucart equipment. I used the Jewel Knuckles on Succubus and beat her really easy!

One to note here is because you actually got off the Boat you didn't show that there was a wall in the way. You see you have to have the oresman because without him there will be a wall pillar thing in the way and when the oresman starts to get close to it the thing goes up finally.

crisseagrim is the best but it's broken and makes Alucard a walking killing machine. the alucard sword is underated and by doing it's down+forward+attack you become invincible during his animation and you can keep doing it over and over killing anthing in the game and not taking a single hit.

In my opinion one of the best weapons in the game is the Osafune Katana (even if its two handed) because u can do 2 kool thing with it... one is Down+Forward+Attack he will dash and strike the enemy twice ( i deal 123 damage per each hit) and the second thing will be Back+Forward+attak and Alucard will salsh enemies (i deal 142 damage)
