By the way, the guy smiling at the beginning of the video is Tommy Shannon, bass player for Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble. Good to see that he is fan of Van the Man!
Shana started singing down at Boulvevard? or the bar next to it with a trio - classic standards used to drop by at 4pm and no one was there but them ploughing thru some arrangments
Was the house fav at the Sutter St. Saloon, Folsom, Ca. It was on the juke box and you could expect to hear it played about every time you stopped by and stayed long enough for at least a couple brews and a game of 9 Ball.. Van never performed there but His daughter did. East of San Francisco in Calif. for 'Blues and Rock', it was the place in the late 80s and through the 90s.
Damn, Austin City Limits was a great show, so many classic artists performed on it, including Stevie Ray Vaughn, whose two appearances were electrifying
I met the drummer on this video last week in Manchester. His name is Neal Wilkinson and hes a great modest guy. Very interesting to see him play and talk honestly up close and personal. Great clinic Neal keep it up m8
@WIGANDRUMMER2010 Yes, I agree. Neal is a superb guy and an amazing drummer. Exquisite technique and control of dynamics and variety whilst keeping it simple at the same time. A huge inspiration for me!
