The purpose of drag racing is to push boundaries. Going faster than the guy beside you is pretty straight forward. I frequent my local drag strip on a regular basis. Very simplistic racing but very enjoyable.

Going around corners at speed "properly" with a guy on your rear bumper and your nose on the guy in front of you takes real skill. Something I take pride in. Going sideways and looking stupid doesn't get any props since it doesn't deserve any.

I never defended drag racing. I said drifting takes less skill than piloting a fast car down a straight line.

Last time I checked, all the major racing series' in the world that people actually care about require you to grip thru the corners, not slide like a fag.

its called short hand you dumb fuck and still drifting requires a lot more skill than grip racing because you have to e-brake or clutch kick the corner shift down and throttle control while counter steering in the corner all at the same time. Grip racers have it ways easier. And plus most of the drifters that drift now used to be grip racers so get your facts straight. Motherfuckers like you just need to keep their mouths shut.

This wall in the beginning of the track they made me leave, I have captured only a few cars, but the best view is from the end of the track.There was about 20 feet free space with no net between the VIP section end the stage for the winners.I actually was standing exactly on the stage most of the time - the view was awesome.The only thing I have missed is the Mustang that crashed. It was a very nice race.On 2 August I am going to Costa Mesa to see the freestyle motocross championship.
