It isn't new that wild cats in the swamp and marsh areas befriend humans and still know how to survive the swamps with the gators, snakes, and such. We had a number of firefighters in Fl just last summer that encountered a wild cat that followed the firefighters/locals around in the area but was also seen kicking the crap out of fox, snakes and stared down the gators too. The locals said the one most likely to hang out with the humans has been surviving the swamp area for 7 years,,,bad a** cat
