So its smart going from medium to hard when you can pretty much 100% most of the songs on medium? because i tried to go from medium to hard but i keep failing RLY badly on lots of power chords like on psychosocial and fury of the storm dragonforce etc... they just come too fast and i cannot react that fast too the buttons

Knights og cydonnia isn't hard if you can get the feeling of the rythm, and One isn't hard if you know how to hammer-on and pull-off.

Yes, but after tapping the strum button like crazy(Cydonia) and getting to a huge hammer on and pull off sequence with 3 repeating letters I couldn't exactly stand it anymore.

Not necessary but suggested as it is a huge jump from medium to hard not only because of the extra button but because of the speed and added notes.

a good tip on how 2 get better is not only to play songs by yourself on expert, but to also play in pro face off or coop on expert. your hand will get used to it and it wont be as hard. my friend helped me with that and i got to expert in about 2 weeks. not saying im really good at guitar hero, but ive practiced and practiced and just beat through fires and flames today on expert. practice the songs you have trouble with and youl be able to beat them eventually.

Here's a quick tip: if you want to get good fast, play the first few songs on Expert when you can already play Hard. Don't worry about getting 5 stars, just try to go through as many songs as possible to master the various thing the game throws at you. You will fail a lot, but you will get good fast. While you may think you're not getting better, just watch how much better your score on Slow Ride becomes when you can beat something like Barracuda (not even that hard of a song).

i think hand-eye coordination and motor skill have a lot to do with how long it takes one to get good at this game. i think the older the person is who is starting out at the game, the longer it will take them to get better not being as alert as a teen, or a kid for that matter. that's probably why i haven't been able to get past the 7th set of songs on hard yet. i can 5 gold about half of the songs on medium.

May be the hardest, but the hammer-ons and pull-off are much easier. That is one of the most important things to be good on Expert too.

if anyone is stuck on hard but wants to do a song on expert, try beastie boys sabotage cause it not to different from hard mode, and you can feels as smug as u like for as long as you like when you've done it, i got it first time i tried it :-)

The most useful tip there was when you said to force yourself into a higher difficulty. Apart from that I was basically being told what I already knew TBH. You're right though the step up from medium to hard is ridiculous and I still haven't managed to do it after about a month plus I've gotten used to using a standard controller and I'm struggling to shake the habit ¬_¬

i didnt even do easy. ive found that the best way to go from medium o expert is to beat medium, get comfortable with it, then play some easier songs on hard, then start beating hard then when u get to the last couple of tiers, start on some easy ones. its ALOT easier to pick up this transition on GH2. i played sweet child of mine over and over and over again, til i could play it comfortably on expert. then i just started down the line on expert, beating it comfortably.u just want a natural feel.

I believe the best thing to make the transition from easy to expert the fastest is. Once you're maybe 5th tier in Hard, then start doing the first few tiers in expert, its basically the same thing, a lot more hammer ons, which actually make it easier if you have those down. And there's also a lot of three note chords as well as some green and blue/orange and red chords, and an occasional green yellow orange chord. Once you nail these, Expert is almost the same as Hard

Make sure u get star power, there is enough before Mosh 1 to have it, try to hang in there as long as possible then activate. With luck you can pass. Other then that, if you still cant pass, practice until you can pass, with or without my method.
