Likewise, I do not understand the "selling out" comments. Every album from Vegas to their most recent release shows a progression where more songs were collaborative efforts. Given that Vegas is still their biggest selling album (if you include the re-mastered version), then "selling out" by getting more vocal doesn't make any sense. If anything, it shows to me that they really enjoy working with others to refine what they do (which is not all that uncommon in "duo" groups).

(not gonna read all comments but) people are saying TCM sold out with the new album? now that's a load of BS and you know it boys. i agree, i had it difficult at first with the whole vocal based direction this album went but what i thought from the first moment seemed to be true: it's an album that grows on you every time you listen.

i don't see why they would've sold out, they just sought new horizons and i think they did an amazing job once again

Thats not entirely correct. A band sells out when they change their or "tweak" the sound and/or style of their music to better appeal to the masses. In return, they receive more money through record sales.

Another example could include a band selling their music for product placement through television commercials or movies. But, i would think most bands would consider it a compliment to have their music in a movie or trailer. Look at NIN.. one of their instrumental songs were used during the entire trailer for '300" and "Terminator Salvation" while another song was used as a key reference in "Wanted."
