His point was walking by faith by him saying I love the holy spirit then showing acts of kindness afterwards ... As apose to the atheist denying the holy spirit and not showing how they deny it Wich would probably lead to doing something mischievous like burning a cross or something else(evil) in the average humans eyes ... Also anger breeds evil and u atheist denying the holy spirit seem to always be angry... Why? Ultimatly your path is evil just accept the holy spirit and be happy noobs!!
"Away with the atheists".... but "never mind the countless other religions including the similarly countless *ahem* 'incorrect' denominations of christianity"
Im an atheist, but I wont attack the guy. I think h missed his real calling as a comedian.
At least he is getting people to go out and do some good in the world. It doesn't really compare, but does a little to make up for all the harm the way the bleievers have caused for so long now.
I don't think atheists missunderstand the issue though. They often understand they can still be forgiven. This challenge has helped bring atheists together though, it let us know we are not alone.
What an arrogant asshole! What gives you the right to assume that an atheist cannot be as devoted to their fellow humans as a believer? I denied God 50 years ago, but I still care for my fellow human beings on a regular basis, including working for free in an AIDS hospice. Where does this inflated ego get the idea that believers have a monopoly on kindness and charity?
In addition, it says in Mathew... I think where Jesus mentiones you clothed me, fed me, housed me, etc. But.... I'm a regular volunteer at the Mustard Seed (although a Christian homeless ministry, I am not Christian). I bought them "unmentionables", just for the ability to be a nice person. So I don't need to say "I love the holy spirit".
So let me get this straight Father Fearless, you're stating that ONLY Christians are capable of doing good deeds such as giving money to the homeless? and all the other examples you've preformed? Well I'm not a Christian, and the neighbourhood elder who had problems feeding himself, we all did. Helped him eat, use our computers to write resumes, hell even helped him get reconnected back to his estranged wife and son. We're agnostic mostly, no need to take care of people to be "servants".
the fact that one will be judged on faith at the time of death, for all the marbles, has always struck me as arbitrary. i mean, let us agree that at least many causes of death strike essentially at random, eg aneurysms (tho presumably god's in control). then, if i (as i do) today deny the existence of God and THS, doesnt it seem arbitrary and thus unjust that the opportunity i am accorded to flip and save my soul is essentially random?& that if the docs save me today they might save me from hell
although i respect the fact that you called out the video for what it is, i would consider myself an atheist. How would you propose that an atheist walks the walk to prove that he/she is blaspheming? Burn a bible? wake up on Sunday and not go to church? It seems hard to show ones conviction to a negative position. How would you demonstrate your disbelief in bigfoot?
@randomhobbyist I think many atheists, at least the ones on the Blasphemy Challenge, are trying to just be in-your-face about it to religious people. To me, it just seems like atheism, like bigfoot, is not something you have to go around being loud about. It seems like the blasphemy challenge would be on par with a 'deny bigfoot' challenge...kind of pointless, assuming you truly did not believe in a God or in bigfoot.
@dunkelfier That is a good point. However, the people who don't believe in bigfoot are not segrated in certain parts of the world. I think the main purpose for the video in all honesty is for advertisement purposes. If you were to extrapolate another menaing, it's simply a way to gather or rally together people who share similar opinions about the world
@randomhobbyist While I don't believe any government should segregate on the basis on what someone believes, so much as through actions, the reason a lot of people dislike atheists is because the only thing they see is them blasphemying. Right or wrong, the truth is that if atheists wast to rally together, they NEED to do so under some guise of trying to be loving and helping (I think it's called secular humanism). Most Christians think atheists are denying principles that Christians believe in
@randomhobbyist such as charity, volunteering, and just being a good person (99% of Christians really just want to do those things). I know plenty of good people who are atheists, but nobody in these blasphemy challenges do anything but bad mouth anyone who believes in God, and a movement is not going to gain popularity in mainstream population by coming off as angry and pissed off. That's just my perception anyway.
@dunkelfier Which is the problem. So many are so caught up in the idea that they believe their opinion is right and that any other lacks critical thinking that many become arrogant. I think the problem is faith is the basis of our difference in beliefs. For most athiests, the concept of faith is absurd and simply means that you choose to believe because you want to. Which can be rather frustrating when you say that i deserve to burn in hell for eternity regardless of my actions in life.
@randomhobbyist Agreed. But I just think the atheist movement would have more success if it just changed it's tone a little, that's all I'm saying. Not trying to tell anyone what to do (by the way, I need to make it clear, I do not consider myself an atheist. I DO however support rational thought and can see how it's wrong that church groups try to interfere with scientific expansion in the name of whatever their religion forces them to believe, and am 100% against that).
Thanks for the feedback. However, I have to disagree.
Love and generosity have long existed before and irrespective of any religion. They are part and parcel of the nature of all humans and how we have adapted for survival as a society. (So much so that similar 'benevolent' behaviour is also observed in other mammals too). Unfortunately, religions feel the need to tie these characteristics to supernatural phenomena/mysteries and proclaim them as theirs.
Christ...I've done all 3 of those things you mention, and then some - a few times.
The difference between you and me is that A) I didn't do it in front of any stupid cameras, and B) I didn't make any recipients jump through hoops by having them say something stupid like "I love atheism".
As for us atheists not having any "hope", why should I waste my time hoping that some imaginary guy in the sky will kiss all my life's booboos for me after I'm dead?
Love your enemy, love your terrible annoying neighbour, but AWAY with non beliver.......good,honest,helpful,warm hearted, volontering in hospital, donating charity - great guy, But Away with him......he doesn't belive in talking snakes.
malteserer, Loving the Holy Spirit is loving God. Jesus said, as much as you have done it to the least of these you have done it unto Me. In other words, God wants us to love like He does, not just with words but with action.
Great acts of charity are not a Christian invention. It's seems rather vain to make a competition on helping people. It's rather self-indulgent. the Blasphemy challenge never said don't be charitable and by no means is there a lack of walky-walky.
God is not stupid man, if you old enough to deny him on youtube then you can recieve punishment. As if you were a child who stole from a candyshop and yo got a spanking from it. God sees all even when you made the blasphemy challenge. These ppl denied Jesus from there heart and I felt it.
Wrong. You do not have to die immediately after you blaspheme for it to be the unforgiveable kind mentioned in the bible. That is just this one guys interpretation. LOL. Besides, you have no proof that Heaven exists, or Hell for that matter. None. (hint: the bible is not proof)
@AlessioDAlessandro they may look for it , but they will never get it .. they are outnumbered by free thinking people . I dunno about any Atheists getting elected (though Im sure they have, at least on the state level ) , but Howard Dean describes his beliefs as "spiritual " and that he really only attends church out of respect to older reletives (he was actually raised in the Episcopal Church, the one with the gay priests and such , very liberal )
@AlessioDAlessandro - that does suck ... I couldnt imagine an upbringing like that . I think you would get along very well in Vermont .. it sounds like your kinda place .. everyone just smiles and lets everyone else live theyre lives and we keep our beliefs to our selves unless prompted by our admittedly fiery tempers (its the fusion of Anglo-celtic and Native Americans , both have bad tempers lol)
@AlessioDAlessandro I can assure you that Americans will never let that happen , however .. my hope is that Vermont will be its own country by then so it wont apply to us here anyway.
@AlessioDAlessandro having gay friends . Not the same as church but we were both forced into lifestyles we didnt want any part of as we viewed them as barbaric . I think me and you might have a bit more in common then you may want to admit . But thats a maybe ... :)
@AlessioDAlessandro see i may not be able to relate on the Church thing, but I can relate . Where I am from , violence is what defines a man .. how many other men you have beat up . Im an artist , soft at heart lol. I dont wanna hurt anyone unless I have too . It was soo horrible being called a fag and a pussy by almost my whole home town (I come from a small town , population of 1200 people, so everyone knows everyone) . The worst was when someone told my gramma I was a deviant for CONTINUED
@AlessioDAlessandro and all I said is he might be an Anglican or Orthodox one .. I also remember stating my stance on Catholicism, which I am not an adherent . I also remember your retort to be one of bashing Christianity from that point forward. I just point out peoples bigotries (which Im also guilty) in my attempt to get more and more people to just chill out and lets start iving together, regardless of what we believe .. chances are , none of us are totally right lol.
@AlessioDAlessandro I cant relate here dude . I fought my parents tooth and nail anytime I had a beef with them . I cant even remember how many times I slapped my own mom between the ages of 7 and 10 as my protest of physical punishment .. she finally gave up .. never got another spanking again (did lose my Sega for a month though ). When I stopped wanting to go to Church I just stopped going and my dad said "okay , go play then son " and that was that. Just stopped going. I feel bad for ya bro
@AlessioDAlessandro hey dude , if that helps you get through this crazy life then good on ya but do you think you can do it without insulting EVERY member of a religion and maybe keep comments directed at those who actually deserve it. Iv never oppressed anyone , at least not unreasonably lol... So I really dont think I should be lumped in with the Christians you speak of.
@AlessioDAlessandro making appologies ... my father told me what he believed but also told me a man has to make his own path in life . He educated me so I didnt end up like the inbred assholes that populated much of my town. Iv since moved from there ignorance and embraced modern society . I am a Christian sir but I guarantee you every pre conceived notion you have of Christians doesnt apply to me other then believing in some form of a Creative Force .. however that force operates i dont know.
@AlessioDAlessandro once again , like MOST Christians do .. we believe that God created the Earth .. but how God did it .. pfft .. beats me dude . Big Bang Theory sounds pretty good ... I agree there is much to be investigated in it for me . I also kinda agree with MY Buddhist friends idea that questions about our origins are utterly worthless in learning the meaning of life . But my ideas are constantly changing. And making appologies for your parents is just that .
@AlessioDAlessandro hey bro Im with ya on the craziness of alot of Christians . Its a shame cause they cast an image on reasonable Christians like myself who embrace reform and modernization as if we are all the same. I hope in time you come to realize that many Christians champion the same causes you do my friend. Most kids I know (minus the Irish ones) raised Catholic later convert or become Atheists and this is why . I am not at all surprised by your views on it therefor .
@AlessioDAlessandro Dude, you dont need to spell everything correctly, its fucking youtube . I only pointed out the one spelling mistake for the comedic segue into the whole "whos the idiot now , idiot " or whatever I said however many comments ago . I dont blindly follow anything, you could probably never understand my reasons for believing what I believe . I can tell you I was raised Methodist, then became Agnostic and am now an Anglican .. a reasonable approach to Christianity , for me anywy
@AlessioDAlessandro you believe something comes from nothing (in the physical realm ) and you call me out of touch with reality ...
Now see, I was gonna leave it at that but the truth is I dont know if thats what you believe . Many Atheists do though (basically). I just did the EXACT same thing you did .. made an assumption based on the LABEL given to the person I was assuming towards . Btw, my spelling fuck ups could be cause Im stoned too bro lol
@AlessioDAlessandro was lost in translation we will never know. No body shoud base theyre life on a BOOK , which is all the Bible is. And you dont need it to get to know God . I fully believe in Evolution .. never said I didnt , just said I was a Christian .. you made the assumption yourself. I did good in all my science courses too just for clarity .
@AlessioDAlessandro And its obviously possible to reconcile them . First off, not all Christians believe in the Bible and I think thats your first mistake in approaching me. I believe the Bible can be an important historical guide in getting to know Jesus Christ . But is it the LITERAL word of God , no I dont believe so . I believe its the INSPIRED word of God , meaning these men were inspired by God to write what they wrote . But between how much of theyre own opinion was involved and how much
@AlessioDAlessandro Well if you understood science and the Bible and God the way I do it might make a lil more sense to you . I think you keep getting the idea that I believe in the CLASSIC view of Christianity .. lol .. NO, I don't. I was educated, Im a public TV producer in my home area . The recession has kinda hit my industry hard since VT doesnt make alot in entertainment but I assure you, Im not the retard I may come across as .. you just catch me at bad times lol.
@AlessioDAlessandro and I still havent seen where I contradicted myself . I see where you keep putting words in my mouth but please, copy and paste my exact words and show me my folly sir
@AlessioDAlessandro and your right, Catholic priests who protected pedophiles were a disgrace to the collar . But you dont start a new religion , theyre religion FORBIDS what happened with those priests .
@AlessioDAlessandro and here you have me beat sir , I was raised Protestant and left for Anglicanism (half way between Protestantism and Catholicism but deff not either no matter what anyone says ) . They ordain gay and lesbian, renounce violence, encourage the blending of science and faith , and living up to the morals of Jesus Christ. Its the best of both worlds . I give confession to a wonderful female lesbian priest and she is amazing.
@AlessioDAlessandro lol cause your learning text book English .. like I KEEP SAYING , Im from Vermont .. we speak a very different form of English here . Also, like I said , Im simply not putting any effort into this cause I do this (these debates) to kill time .. I just got off work, played a few hours of Smackdown VS Raw, fucked my girlfriend and smoked a joint and now I got nothing better to do then banter with you (cant sleep) . Could I use "proper" English, sure. Why bother though?
@AlessioDAlessandro thats the same as people saying to me "you dont like America, then move " ... no fuck that , I was here first (ancestrally speaking) . Same with the REAL Catholics .. Good decent people . Not these assholes yelling at fags for wanting to marry or bombing abortion clinics .. they keep theyre beliefs to themselves and just go about theyre lives trying to be decent people . When rats come in a home you built, you dont burn the house .. you get rid of the rats .
@AlessioDAlessandro - your still blaming EVERYONE for the crimes of a few. With the worldwide Catholic population taken into account your view is ridiculous at best. You also keep calling me an American even though Im a member of the Second Vermont Republic and the Abenaki Nation . Im NOT an American. Americans litter theyre land with billboards and dont let you arm yourself unless you kiss the mayors asshole. Not here in VT, last decent place on earth .. except all the guido's in Barre lol
@AlessioDAlessandro you keep calling me stupid but every time I ask why you either give reasons which you misinterpret or you just ignore them and hit me with insults . You have not supported your opinion in any way. Yes, MANY people in the Catholic church hid the scandel .. and many were kept in the dark cause peope in power knew those priests (good ones) would blow the roof off of it . Being a part of it afterwards doesnt make them bad, means they wanna reform theyre Church, hows that bad?
@AlessioDAlessandro oh indeed I hit you with a good bit of sarcasm in my last one , how could i not lol . Seriously dude, all you have done is put words in my mouth and look at my words under a microscope rather then try to grasp what Im saying . I dont care if your bigot , I simply want you to admit it. I dont care what Atheists believe or what anyone other then me believes for that matter , as long as peeps are respectful (on both sides) .
@AlessioDAlessandro Simple answer , you .. you say these things for a kick.. for a sick sadistic thrill . I said it to see how you would react (helps me figure you out better) . Not ever Catholic protected pedophiles so I go back to the "one black man" racism example . Some Catholics are assholes, apparently many Italians are too . Lets talk about you Milan dressing homos. Go eat your goat cheese pizza and ride a donkey off a cliff into the Mediterranean you loser (see, I can be like you too ;)
@AlessioDAlessandro I corrected your spelling (admittedly in a mistaken way) because you were being insulting when I hadnt said or done anything insulting. I never said my Buddhist friend is one the who said Buddhism is a religion, I said he was the main source of my information , the religion part I got from the fact that many people do consider it that and its protected by America's Freedom of religion laws (whether or not its your philosophy or religion)I dont know what my friend thinks
@AlessioDAlessandro .. continue to advance an all new stereotype about your own kind (Italians) , that your a bunch of loud mouths with greasy hair, bad tats and cheap (or stolen ) jewelery . As soon as there is a spot open Ill call the producers and get you a spot on the Jersey Shore .. you can be just like those guido's (i dont know if I spelled that right) ... walk around with a white tank top and a rosary around your neck lookin all hip and like a douche bag lol .
@brycejacksoncvt You really need to take some reading comprehension courses so you can understand my statement about your buddhist friend, but since you didn't get my point, let me put it to you in a way you can understand: "while some some buddhists think Buddhism is a religion i.e, "your friend"some other buddhists see Buddhism as a philosophy rather than the superstitious garbage they believe religion to be, so whether Buddhism is a religion really depends of who you ask."...continues
@AlessioDAlessandro spelling . I would like to dismiss some blatant lies you have told.
1- I never said my friend was a spokesman for Buddhism. And for the record you never clearly answered the question regarding it (to any logical person's satisfaction) .
If you had been poking fun using stereotypes you woulda said so from the beginning. The fact you didnt makes it pretty obvious to me you wanted to continue being a bigot (which btw, everyone is to one extent or another) as well as CONTINUED
@AlessioDAlessandro - I admit, I have not taken you seriously sir. I thought this was a place (based on most of the other comments ) Where people were doing they're (or THERE or THEIR .. sorry, where I work I got someone who corrects my spelling for me so I dont really ever have to deal with that part and even using proper English isnt a big deal cause he does that too (fixes it for me) . So between that and my other job (retail, bleh) I simply dont have much occasion to have the need for good
@AlessioDAlessandro When did I profess to know the worlds only Buddhist? I think Iv defended my point well and instead of responding with sound logic you respond with anger and insults . My spelling mistakes are usually cause Im busy with other stuff and not really paying attention (my GF is sleeping so I can give full attention today) . Discrediting religion is fine, your view of Catholics (Im not one btw) is obviously bigoted. If i have to explain it then you sir are the moron
@AlessioDAlessandro well my friend is a Buddhist so I was going on what he said .. I like DIRECT sources ..idiot lol. You belong to some country that probably has commited MILLIONS of attrocities (especially if your American). I doubt you have ever done a thing about any of it. (it would take too long to explain how this doesnt apply to me). I really dont care what you think or believe and throw insults if you want, but the simple FACT is that you ARE a BIGOT .. can you accept that ?
@AlessioDAlessandro - I also dont see how Im diluted (thats how you spell diluted btw, so whos the dumb ass ... dumb ass !!! ) . And Buddhism, how is that fucked up? what can anyone honestly say badly about Buddhism ? It has no deity, just a central philosophy on how to live a peaceful existence . But its still a religion as it does have core beliefs . Oh and for the Atheists getting ready to attack Buddhism now, meditations benefits are SCIENTIFICALLY proven ... k, off to watch Pulp Fiction
@AlessioDAlessandro whatever dude.. your gonna honestly try and convince me that EVERY single Catholic priest on the face of this planet in some way shape or form assisted in the sex abuse scandal ? Thats really what your saying ? What a load of BS. There are plenty of decent Catholic priests. Why dont you go blame black people next time one mugs someone on the news ya bigot.
@AlessioDAlessandro he very well could be a Catholic priest (he coud also be an Anglican or Orthodox priest, both of which can marry if you didnt already know) .. doesnt mean he is a pedophile though .. hating the Catholic Church for the crimes of individuals within it is the same as hating all black people cause you got mugged by one or beat up by a couple in a black neighborhood .. lets stop hating people .
Your actions, although well intended, may have worked for 2 out of the 3. But the first person you gave money to bought drugs and could have died as a result. If the holy spirit existed, then why does so much of humanity die and suffer from the hands of your religion? All the other religions don't get it? I have a new challenge. To stop trying to persuade and impose your religion in public, and do what you believe in private.
@Lovirtual well then wouldnt that go for the atheists too .. and since this was a responce to the atheists "blasphemy challenge" he wasnt trying to push his faith onto others . And btw, you have no idea what that man (the first one) did with that money. That is a bigoted opinion that all homeless are drug addicts . Iv been homeless four different times in my life and the only drug Iv ever done is mary jane (which u wont die from) .
@brycejacksoncvt Yes, atheists too. Yes he is trying to push, with a challenge of his own, even though it was a response to the original challenge. I don’t need anyone telling me “there is hope for me” in his interpretation. It’s the short version of if you don’t believe in Jesus Christ, you are going to hell. Fuck you (him sorry) That is almost as sick as Muslims labeling non believers infidels. No I don't know what the first man did with the money, thanks for figuring that out for me.
@Lovirtual Saying there is hope for you is not the same thing as saying if you dont believe in Christ your going to hell .. sounds alot more like you just want it to be that . Its pretty easy to condemn religion when its some asshole preaching hellfire and brimstone .. all of a sudden rational people like this guy (who i think may be a character actually) and Father Mathew who is an excepting and decent man when it comes to Atheism and all beliefs. Fight injustice but there ARE good Christians
@brycejacksoncvt Bigoted opinion by me? Not even. It could be said that giving the guy money was bigoted. The guy could have been well to do and didn't need a dime. He looked pretty darn good to me. To interpret my statement correctly, you had to understand that there is no way of knowing what he did with the money. It was a nice way of saying there are better ways of spreading “spirits” around than throwing money at them. Stay well.
As an atheist, i do those things like helping people where ever and whenever i can. BECAUSE I LIKE TO>!!! nothing at all to do with some false holy spirit. Good people do good things regardless of religion. YAY for good people!
well he has to believe it, even if he doesnt. Its his profession. Even if he knows he is lying, he must still try to get people to his "holy cause" I DENY THE HOLY SPIRIT! :D I denyt the call, the conviction and allllllllll of it. I have felt that way for all 34 years of my life, and there is NO WAY EVER to change mymind. ESPECIALLY to ANYTHING in the bible! YAY! FREEDOM FROM MYTH!! YAY!
And as for suicide being a sin, does that mean that if you offer yourself to die to preserve the life for someone else, that you are committing sin? After all that's what Jesus did. I guess killing is ok as long as its outwardly directed, i.e. Abraham ready to sacrifice Isaac at God's command, until God pulled the plug at the last minute. Did God think this was funny? I guess Abraham was just being Punk'd by God. This is monstrously despicable. This is your morality.
@bma051000 No that's a different thing entirely! That is martyrdom, not suicide. Suicide is taking your own life, for no reason but self pity. (Selfishness)
@bma051000, It is evident that you have no understanding of spiritual truths as God has not shed his light in your heart. Therefore to attempt to understand the work of God through Christ, is as fruitless as the conversation between Nicodemus and Jesus concerning spiritual truths.
From the UNbeliever's perspective, Jesus was murdered by the very men he came to save. God simply has sovereign power over wicked men, and so used this for his own glory.
@bma051000 actually technically speaking its Jewish morality since the Old Testament is Hebrew Law . The New Testament describes the words and lesson of Jesus who said the greatest commandment is "love your neighbor as you would yourself " . I can get down with that kinda morality . People forget the New Testament was written by men after Jesus had died 60 years earier . And I dont care who you are , if you cant get down with Jesus's morals of beind decent to people, well then your messed up
Why don't you pay all of my debts? Surely you should be COMPLETELY unselfish and not keep any for yourself. But let me ask you this, my good sir. If there really is a heaven and it is such a wonderful place, then why don't you go ahead and kill yourself NOW so you can get there. What are you waiting for? Go ahead and kill yourself so you can get to Christ and his kingdom. Something tells me that you won't--that your'e not quite so convinced.
@bma051000 Because, suicide is a sin, those who believe and Love tho LORD do not intentionally sin, but you are free too since you don't believe in anything, what do you have to lose?
@RudeAwakning What do I have to loose? Just knowledge, friendship, money, independence, beautiful days, achievements of life, success, family, HAPPINESS. All the values of the actual, physical, material world, including my life. Yes, MY LIFE is a value and yes values are objective. If I were a collectivist who clings to his ancestral lineage as a source of his identity and self esteem, I would be ashamed to be a fellow Scotsman, but I'm neither a collectivist or a mystic so I'm not.
@bma051000, I can only say this. As Solomon clearly taught in the book of Ecclesiastes where he documented his pursuit of happiness in every possible way imaginable apart from God, he was left with this understanding concerning all things.
Everything means NOTHING, if everything is ALL there IS. Everything is meaningless and like chasing after wind because no matter how we live, we entered with nothing and we depart with nothing. Apart from God, everything is for nothing.
@bma051000 I might be misunderstanding you , are you saying its bad to cling to ancestral lineage and be proud of it ? Just confused and wanted clarity is all . Thanks :)
@brycejacksoncvt It's wrong to cling to ancestral lineage as the source of your self esteem. In doing so, you are implicitly saying that self esteem isn't something that your EARN by volitional act. It suggests that the source of self esteem isn't man's rational faculty, his productive achievements or the fulfillment of his values, but rather it's an automatic and unearned form of value. There's nothing wrong in being proud of some of your ancestors, but it shouldn't be the source of YOUR pride.
@bma051000 - I never said it was the source of my self esteem. That would be the person I am . But the person I am is pieces of who they were . We inherit more then just mere genetics from our ancestors. My ancestral claims are meant to show that I am indeed NOT an American yet do still have a right to be here and to champion my cause for freedom for Vermont, which stood as the Republic of Vermont for 14 years before joining the US, I believe we coud do that again.
certainly charming, you should go on TV. Of course I deny the holy spirit. I don't need a cam for that. if that is what it takes to show I stand for my beliefs then so be it. If you're right, I burn. If I'm right, I just die. Honestly, I'd rather burn. But scaring people into believing what you want them to believe is no good. So I wish to you a nice cold winter's night out in the open in Hell, Norway, just for that.
your only doing this because you guys are afraid of hell. No other reasons. does that make you guys kind? do you guys like the tought of atheist burning in hell?
So you are indirectly buying your way in to heaven that is such a catholic thing to do. Oh by the way I deny the existence of the father, the son, and the holy spirit and will untill the day that i die.
@PeiperJ2 foolish of an ideal is that, thats like a 1 year old who knows how to speak telling his parents no mom and dad you dont know what you are doing, its wrong, i know whats right. how idiotic, that is what is called pompous and arrogant. God loves His children and will give ALL to His children, He however HATES sin, which is the seperation from Him, hence why satan was kicked out of Heaven and all his authority removed.
@PeiperJ2 i already know God's thoughts silly boy, so do all of His children, its no big mystery or some paradigm.God is Love. His covenant with His children is He will provide for us,He will provide shelter,He will provide sustenance,He will provide not the other way around of man thinking they can provide for themselves. are only job is to LOVE our Father, and why because HE CREATED US. but no, the atheists have to try and put God in a box and try to think they know more then He does, how ...
@PeiperJ2 "God does not play dice" - and to him this was a real statement about a God in whom he believed. A famous saying of his was "Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind."
you see my friend even Einstein believes in God,creator of all things. the very principles of relativity that all science follows was based of einstein's findings. and now you call him a liar, that there is no creator. hmmm thats truely shameful
@PeiperJ2 "Firmly denying atheism, Einstein expressed a belief in "Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the harmony of what exists." This actually motivated his interest in science, as he once remarked to a young physicist: "I want to know how God created this world, I am not interested in this or that phenomenon, in the spectrum of this or that element. I want to know His thoughts, the rest are details." Einstein's famous epithet on the "uncertainty principle" was cont
Einstein is probably the best known and most highly revered scientist of the twentieth century, and is associated with major revolutions in our thinking about time, gravity, and the conversion of matter to energy (E=mc2). Although never coming to belief in a personal God, he recognized the impossibility of a non-created universe. The Encyclopedia Britannica says of him: cont
@PeiperJ2 hmmmm einstein doesnt believe in God eh hmmm and i quote" Although never coming to belief in a personal God, he recognized the impossibility of a non-created universe. The Encyclopedia Britannica says of him: "Firmly denying atheism, Einstein expressed a belief in "Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the harmony of what exists." This actually motivated his interest in science, as he once remarked to a young physicist: "I want to know how God created this world, cont
@PeiperJ2 is going to show to all the atheists what Yahshua's children already know... God. boy that day will be hilarious to hear the atheists back peddle and cry straw man or random phenomena's etc... the proof of God is all around you, you just choose not to see it.
@PeiperJ2 silly child, einstein, hawkings, amit goswami etc... all believe quantum physics proove the existence of a designer/creator. shall i go on??? the problem with you and all other atheists is this, you have no proof showing that God doesnt exist, your very evolution has so many holes through it you can drive a semi through, but yet you think you can make an absolute determination that there is not a God lol man that hilarious. seriously lil boy, i cant waite for the next 20 yrs, science ..
@PeiperJ2 doesnt matter what you cosider truth is the truth is there is one God. you want proof look around you, you want scientific prrof quantum physics has shown that all things have to have a creator. eyes still closed? becareful with the stubborn nature, remember on Yahshua's return ALL knees will bow.
@MrDathon1577 Fascinating, we have knees in heaven, and I guess god will be multilingual to talk to each person. Funny that he has a book of life, but we are in the digital age, and seldom use books anymore. Why would he need one anyway? Yagay is a peice of shit.
@MrDathon1577 Really! well thank you kind sir, I did not know that god will bless me with a functioning nervous system in sheol ooops I mean hell. Your passive aggresive hell remarks are hilarious. BTW jesus is part of the trinity, so he fucked mary his mother
@MrDathon1577 mmmm yes, like every generation that he has failed to show up. Whats funny, is that you think your threats are meaningful. Again, a book of incest is silly. Keep up the delusions;)
@PeiperJ2 threaten really? its called truth and if you feel threaten that is on you. and you already have the dung on your face you are too blind and careless to open your eyes and see it. seek truth not lies. God bless you.
@PeiperJ2 i see you like all other atheists nees a bibliography lol its funny, but sure yes in the 500 letter space ill make sure to send you a bibliography so you know where the information comes from since you cant simply ask lol but my question to you is why would i produce evidence with telepathy when i dont agree with telepathy lol thats like me condoning xmas or halloween, all paigan and all man made bs.
@PeiperJ2 amazing how every child is different from any others, unlike animals their offspring are the same. its amazing at the medical miracles or the miracles people go through daily, where God's hand is on them protecting them in a car crash where the car was a pile of scrap metal and the firemen are scratching their heads how they survived, or the miracle of ppl having buildings collapsing on them and coming out week later alive. you have to open your ears and eyes to God and see His Love.
@PeiperJ2 well first dear friend i dont believe in supernatural phenomena, i believe inYahshua. i believe there are angels and fallen angels(demons) not goblins, trolls, leprechauns etc... these supernatural phenomena are man made. God exists and you see it daily, you see if every second of the day. the air you breath, the sun on your face...ever wonder why Earth is the only planet the perfect distance from the sun and on a pitch, no other planet can sustain life. you see God in you kids ...
@PeiperJ2 and oh look " and iniquity" is found in the priests, hmmmmm lucifer fell because of iniquity, so they are one of the same, the priests were spouting satan's lies causing man to stumble, how interesting, so is the world today and all the "religions" which are men deciding what God is and teaching men the fallacies of their own belief and not what God wants. ty for bringing this scripture up it has definately been an eye opener. and telepathy and prayer not same, anyway God bless you.
@PeiperJ2 God talking about the priests who have deceived followers to wrong thinking because the priests were following not what God wants but what they want,God wants"5My covenant [on My part with Levi] was to give him life and peace" but man/priests were wanting to do the opposite of"The law of truth was in [Levi's] mouth, and unrighteousness was not found in his lips; he walked with Me in peace and uprightness and turned many away from iniquity." man/priest wanting to do it themselves ...
@PeiperJ2 8But you have turned aside out of the way; you have caused many to stumble by your instruction [in the law]; you have corrupted the covenant of Levi [with Me], says the Lord of hosts.9Therefore have I also made you despised and abased before all the people, inasmuch as you have not kept My ways but have shown favoritism to persons in your administration of the law [of God].
so now that we read the scriptures above it and below it we get an understanding of the message which is...
@PeiperJ2 6The law of truth was in [Levi's] mouth, and unrighteousness was not found in his lips; he walked with Me in peace and uprightness and turned many away from iniquity.7For the priest's lips should guard and keep pure the knowledge [of My law], and the people should seek (inquire for and require) instruction at his mouth; for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.cont
@PeiperJ2 and I will spread the [a]dung from the festival offerings upon your faces, and you shall be taken away with it.4And you shall know, recognize, and understand that I have sent this [new] decree to you priests, to be My [new] covenant with Levi [the priestly tribe], says the Lord of hosts.5My covenant [on My part with Levi] was to give him life and peace, because [on his part] of the [reverent and worshipful] fear with which [the priests] would revere Me and stand in awe of My name.cont
@PeiperJ2 Mal 1-9"AND NOW, O you priests, this commandment is for you.2If you will not hear and if you will not lay it to heart to give glory to My name, says the Lord of hosts, then I will send the curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings; yes, I have already turned them to curses because you do not lay it to heart.3Behold, I will rebuke your seed [grain--which will prevent due harvest], cont
@PeiperJ2 is the transfer of information on thoughts or feelings between individuals by means other than the five senses
a prayer is words spoken to our Father who is all around us at all times dear boy, He sees and hears all things not by "the brain" He is the air we breath, a prayer is our words to our Father to help those in need to come out of darkness and sin, a prayer is a blessing.
@PeiperJ2 i laugh at how you are trying to sound condesending when infact for a 42 yr old you are sounding like an idiot lol and spouting childish banter lol and i will pray for you and your family to find Yahshua and to have your ears and eyes open to the truth. I pray this in Yahshua's name amen.
Telepathy"Telepathy (from the Greek τηλε, tele meaning "distant" and πάθη, pathe meaning "affliction, experience"),[2] cont
@PeiperJ2 i would seriously warn against tempting the demons you are so foolishly stirring up with your childish banter. becareful. the truth is we live as a spirit in flesh, and all things happen. do not and i say this with extreme warning do not play with satan cause he will byte you back. there is only one savior and that is Yahshua.

Silentsam7532 6 months ago
What an arrogant asshole! What gives you the right to assume that an atheist cannot be as devoted to their fellow humans as a believer? I denied God 50 years ago, but I still care for my fellow human beings on a regular basis, including working for free in an AIDS hospice. Where does this inflated ego get the idea that believers have a monopoly on kindness and charity?
Valteron8 7 months ago
In addition, it says in Mathew... I think where Jesus mentiones you clothed me, fed me, housed me, etc. But.... I'm a regular volunteer at the Mustard Seed (although a Christian homeless ministry, I am not Christian). I bought them "unmentionables", just for the ability to be a nice person. So I don't need to say "I love the holy spirit".
wd40isgreat 7 months ago
So let me get this straight Father Fearless, you're stating that ONLY Christians are capable of doing good deeds such as giving money to the homeless? and all the other examples you've preformed? Well I'm not a Christian, and the neighbourhood elder who had problems feeding himself, we all did. Helped him eat, use our computers to write resumes, hell even helped him get reconnected back to his estranged wife and son. We're agnostic mostly, no need to take care of people to be "servants".
wd40isgreat 7 months ago
@wd40isgreat I guess Father Fearless has too much Fear to answer my questions? Should he call himself Father Coward?

the fact that one will be judged on faith at the time of death, for all the marbles, has always struck me as arbitrary. i mean, let us agree that at least many causes of death strike essentially at random, eg aneurysms (tho presumably god's in control). then, if i (as i do) today deny the existence of God and THS, doesnt it seem arbitrary and thus unjust that the opportunity i am accorded to flip and save my soul is essentially random?& that if the docs save me today they might save me from hell

although i respect the fact that you called out the video for what it is, i would consider myself an atheist. How would you propose that an atheist walks the walk to prove that he/she is blaspheming? Burn a bible? wake up on Sunday and not go to church? It seems hard to show ones conviction to a negative position. How would you demonstrate your disbelief in bigfoot?
randomhobbyist 8 months ago
@randomhobbyist I think many atheists, at least the ones on the Blasphemy Challenge, are trying to just be in-your-face about it to religious people. To me, it just seems like atheism, like bigfoot, is not something you have to go around being loud about. It seems like the blasphemy challenge would be on par with a 'deny bigfoot' challenge...kind of pointless, assuming you truly did not believe in a God or in bigfoot.
dunkelfier 8 months ago
@dunkelfier That is a good point. However, the people who don't believe in bigfoot are not segrated in certain parts of the world. I think the main purpose for the video in all honesty is for advertisement purposes. If you were to extrapolate another menaing, it's simply a way to gather or rally together people who share similar opinions about the world
randomhobbyist 8 months ago
@randomhobbyist While I don't believe any government should segregate on the basis on what someone believes, so much as through actions, the reason a lot of people dislike atheists is because the only thing they see is them blasphemying. Right or wrong, the truth is that if atheists wast to rally together, they NEED to do so under some guise of trying to be loving and helping (I think it's called secular humanism). Most Christians think atheists are denying principles that Christians believe in
dunkelfier 8 months ago
@randomhobbyist such as charity, volunteering, and just being a good person (99% of Christians really just want to do those things). I know plenty of good people who are atheists, but nobody in these blasphemy challenges do anything but bad mouth anyone who believes in God, and a movement is not going to gain popularity in mainstream population by coming off as angry and pissed off. That's just my perception anyway.
dunkelfier 8 months ago
@dunkelfier Which is the problem. So many are so caught up in the idea that they believe their opinion is right and that any other lacks critical thinking that many become arrogant. I think the problem is faith is the basis of our difference in beliefs. For most athiests, the concept of faith is absurd and simply means that you choose to believe because you want to. Which can be rather frustrating when you say that i deserve to burn in hell for eternity regardless of my actions in life.
randomhobbyist 8 months ago
@randomhobbyist Agreed. But I just think the atheist movement would have more success if it just changed it's tone a little, that's all I'm saying. Not trying to tell anyone what to do (by the way, I need to make it clear, I do not consider myself an atheist. I DO however support rational thought and can see how it's wrong that church groups try to interfere with scientific expansion in the name of whatever their religion forces them to believe, and am 100% against that).

@edwinandres01 and @FriarShaun

PennyLane411 1 year ago
Great acts of charity are not a Christian invention. It's seems rather vain to make a competition on helping people. It's rather self-indulgent. the Blasphemy challenge never said don't be charitable and by no means is there a lack of walky-walky.

i55music 1 year ago

I dunno about any Atheists getting elected (though Im sure they have, at least on the state level ) , but Howard Dean describes his beliefs as "spiritual " and that he really only attends church out of respect to older reletives (he was actually raised in the Episcopal Church, the one with the gay priests and such , very liberal )
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro - that does suck ... I couldnt imagine an upbringing like that . I think you would get along very well in Vermont .. it sounds like your kinda place .. everyone just smiles and lets everyone else live theyre lives and we keep our beliefs to our selves unless prompted by our admittedly fiery tempers (its the fusion of Anglo-celtic and Native Americans , both have bad tempers lol)
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro I can assure you that Americans will never let that happen , however .. my hope is that Vermont will be its own country by then so it wont apply to us here anyway.

The worst was when someone told my gramma I was a deviant for CONTINUED
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro and all I said is he might be an Anglican or Orthodox one .. I also remember stating my stance on Catholicism, which I am not an adherent . I also remember your retort to be one of bashing Christianity from that point forward. I just point out peoples bigotries (which Im also guilty) in my attempt to get more and more people to just chill out and lets start iving together, regardless of what we believe .. chances are , none of us are totally right lol.
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro I cant relate here dude . I fought my parents tooth and nail anytime I had a beef with them . I cant even remember how many times I slapped my own mom between the ages of 7 and 10 as my protest of physical punishment .. she finally gave up .. never got another spanking again (did lose my Sega for a month though ). When I stopped wanting to go to Church I just stopped going and my dad said "okay , go play then son " and that was that. Just stopped going. I feel bad for ya bro
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@brycejacksoncvt I just meant I feel bad for being raised the way you were . That sucks .
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro hey dude , if that helps you get through this crazy life then good on ya but do you think you can do it without insulting EVERY member of a religion and maybe keep comments directed at those who actually deserve it. Iv never oppressed anyone , at least not unreasonably lol... So I really dont think I should be lumped in with the Christians you speak of.
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro making appologies ... my father told me what he believed but also told me a man has to make his own path in life . He educated me so I didnt end up like the inbred assholes that populated much of my town. Iv since moved from there ignorance and embraced modern society . I am a Christian sir but I guarantee you every pre conceived notion you have of Christians doesnt apply to me other then believing in some form of a Creative Force .. however that force operates i dont know.
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro once again , like MOST Christians do .. we believe that God created the Earth .. but how God did it .. pfft .. beats me dude . Big Bang Theory sounds pretty good ... I agree there is much to be investigated in it for me . I also kinda agree with MY Buddhist friends idea that questions about our origins are utterly worthless in learning the meaning of life . But my ideas are constantly changing. And making appologies for your parents is just that .
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro hey bro Im with ya on the craziness of alot of Christians . Its a shame cause they cast an image on reasonable Christians like myself who embrace reform and modernization as if we are all the same. I hope in time you come to realize that many Christians champion the same causes you do my friend. Most kids I know (minus the Irish ones) raised Catholic later convert or become Atheists and this is why . I am not at all surprised by your views on it therefor .
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro - sounds to me like you got an issue with your parents bro, not religion .
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro Dude, you dont need to spell everything correctly, its fucking youtube . I only pointed out the one spelling mistake for the comedic segue into the whole "whos the idiot now , idiot " or whatever I said however many comments ago . I dont blindly follow anything, you could probably never understand my reasons for believing what I believe . I can tell you I was raised Methodist, then became Agnostic and am now an Anglican .. a reasonable approach to Christianity , for me anywy
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro you believe something comes from nothing (in the physical realm ) and you call me out of touch with reality ...
Now see, I was gonna leave it at that but the truth is I dont know if thats what you believe . Many Atheists do though (basically). I just did the EXACT same thing you did .. made an assumption based on the LABEL given to the person I was assuming towards . Btw, my spelling fuck ups could be cause Im stoned too bro lol
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro was lost in translation we will never know. No body shoud base theyre life on a BOOK , which is all the Bible is. And you dont need it to get to know God . I fully believe in Evolution .. never said I didnt , just said I was a Christian .. you made the assumption yourself. I did good in all my science courses too just for clarity .
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro And its obviously possible to reconcile them . First off, not all Christians believe in the Bible and I think thats your first mistake in approaching me. I believe the Bible can be an important historical guide in getting to know Jesus Christ . But is it the LITERAL word of God , no I dont believe so . I believe its the INSPIRED word of God , meaning these men were inspired by God to write what they wrote . But between how much of theyre own opinion was involved and how much
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro Well if you understood science and the Bible and God the way I do it might make a lil more sense to you . I think you keep getting the idea that I believe in the CLASSIC view of Christianity .. lol .. NO, I don't. I was educated, Im a public TV producer in my home area . The recession has kinda hit my industry hard since VT doesnt make alot in entertainment but I assure you, Im not the retard I may come across as .. you just catch me at bad times lol.

I give confession to a wonderful female lesbian priest and she is amazing.
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro lol cause your learning text book English .. like I KEEP SAYING , Im from Vermont .. we speak a very different form of English here . Also, like I said , Im simply not putting any effort into this cause I do this (these debates) to kill time .. I just got off work, played a few hours of Smackdown VS Raw, fucked my girlfriend and smoked a joint and now I got nothing better to do then banter with you (cant sleep) . Could I use "proper" English, sure. Why bother though?
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro thats the same as people saying to me "you dont like America, then move " ... no fuck that , I was here first (ancestrally speaking) . Same with the REAL Catholics .. Good decent people . Not these assholes yelling at fags for wanting to marry or bombing abortion clinics .. they keep theyre beliefs to themselves and just go about theyre lives trying to be decent people . When rats come in a home you built, you dont burn the house .. you get rid of the rats .
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro - your still blaming EVERYONE for the crimes of a few. With the worldwide Catholic population taken into account your view is ridiculous at best. You also keep calling me an American even though Im a member of the Second Vermont Republic and the Abenaki Nation . Im NOT an American. Americans litter theyre land with billboards and dont let you arm yourself unless you kiss the mayors asshole. Not here in VT, last decent place on earth .. except all the guido's in Barre lol
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro you keep calling me stupid but every time I ask why you either give reasons which you misinterpret or you just ignore them and hit me with insults . You have not supported your opinion in any way. Yes, MANY people in the Catholic church hid the scandel .. and many were kept in the dark cause peope in power knew those priests (good ones) would blow the roof off of it . Being a part of it afterwards doesnt make them bad, means they wanna reform theyre Church, hows that bad?
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro oh indeed I hit you with a good bit of sarcasm in my last one , how could i not lol . Seriously dude, all you have done is put words in my mouth and look at my words under a microscope rather then try to grasp what Im saying . I dont care if your bigot , I simply want you to admit it. I dont care what Atheists believe or what anyone other then me believes for that matter , as long as peeps are respectful (on both sides) .
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago

AlessioDAlessandro 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro spelling . I would like to dismiss some blatant lies you have told.
1- I never said my friend was a spokesman for Buddhism. And for the record you never clearly answered the question regarding it (to any logical person's satisfaction) .
If you had been poking fun using stereotypes you woulda said so from the beginning. The fact you didnt makes it pretty obvious to me you wanted to continue being a bigot (which btw, everyone is to one extent or another) as well as CONTINUED
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro - I admit, I have not taken you seriously sir. I thought this was a place (based on most of the other comments ) Where people were doing they're (or THERE or THEIR .. sorry, where I work I got someone who corrects my spelling for me so I dont really ever have to deal with that part and even using proper English isnt a big deal cause he does that too (fixes it for me) . So between that and my other job (retail, bleh) I simply dont have much occasion to have the need for good

@AlessioDAlessandro oh btw, Italy sucks !
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro When did I profess to know the worlds only Buddhist? I think Iv defended my point well and instead of responding with sound logic you respond with anger and insults . My spelling mistakes are usually cause Im busy with other stuff and not really paying attention (my GF is sleeping so I can give full attention today) . Discrediting religion is fine, your view of Catholics (Im not one btw) is obviously bigoted. If i have to explain it then you sir are the moron
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro well my friend is a Buddhist so I was going on what he said .. I like DIRECT sources ..idiot lol. You belong to some country that probably has commited MILLIONS of attrocities (especially if your American). I doubt you have ever done a thing about any of it. (it would take too long to explain how this doesnt apply to me). I really dont care what you think or believe and throw insults if you want, but the simple FACT is that you ARE a BIGOT .. can you accept that ?
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro - I also dont see how Im diluted (thats how you spell diluted btw, so whos the dumb ass ... dumb ass !!! ) . And Buddhism, how is that fucked up? what can anyone honestly say badly about Buddhism ? It has no deity, just a central philosophy on how to live a peaceful existence . But its still a religion as it does have core beliefs . Oh and for the Atheists getting ready to attack Buddhism now, meditations benefits are SCIENTIFICALLY proven ... k, off to watch Pulp Fiction
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@AlessioDAlessandro whatever dude.. your gonna honestly try and convince me that EVERY single Catholic priest on the face of this planet in some way shape or form assisted in the sex abuse scandal ? Thats really what your saying ? What a load of BS. There are plenty of decent Catholic priests. Why dont you go blame black people next time one mugs someone on the news ya bigot.
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago

Lovirtual 1 year ago
@Lovirtual well then wouldnt that go for the atheists too .. and since this was a responce to the atheists "blasphemy challenge" he wasnt trying to push his faith onto others . And btw, you have no idea what that man (the first one) did with that money. That is a bigoted opinion that all homeless are drug addicts . Iv been homeless four different times in my life and the only drug Iv ever done is mary jane (which u wont die from) .
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@brycejacksoncvt Yes, atheists too. Yes he is trying to push, with a challenge of his own, even though it was a response to the original challenge. I don’t need anyone telling me “there is hope for me” in his interpretation. It’s the short version of if you don’t believe in Jesus Christ, you are going to hell. Fuck you (him sorry) That is almost as sick as Muslims labeling non believers infidels. No I don't know what the first man did with the money, thanks for figuring that out for me.
Lovirtual 1 year ago
@Lovirtual Saying there is hope for you is not the same thing as saying if you dont believe in Christ your going to hell .. sounds alot more like you just want it to be that . Its pretty easy to condemn religion when its some asshole preaching hellfire and brimstone .. all of a sudden rational people like this guy (who i think may be a character actually) and Father Mathew who is an excepting and decent man when it comes to Atheism and all beliefs. Fight injustice but there ARE good Christians
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@brycejacksoncvt Bigoted opinion by me? Not even. It could be said that giving the guy money was bigoted. The guy could have been well to do and didn't need a dime. He looked pretty darn good to me. To interpret my statement correctly, you had to understand that there is no way of knowing what he did with the money. It was a nice way of saying there are better ways of spreading “spirits” around than throwing money at them. Stay well.

If there is a God, then he is not and cannot be omnipotent. I'll prove it:
Can God create a rock that He cannot lift?
If YES, then God is not omnipotent. If NO, then god is not omnipotent.
Therefore, God is not omnipotent. Don't you just love Aristotle and his Law of Noncontradiction?! Ha!

This is your morality.
bma051000 1 year ago
@bma051000 No that's a different thing entirely! That is martyrdom, not suicide. Suicide is taking your own life, for no reason but self pity. (Selfishness)
RudeAwakning 1 year ago
@RudeAwakning Suicide is not selfishness. Suicide is not self-interest. Suicide is self-destruction.
bma051000 1 year ago
@bma051000, It is evident that you have no understanding of spiritual truths as God has not shed his light in your heart. Therefore to attempt to understand the work of God through Christ, is as fruitless as the conversation between Nicodemus and Jesus concerning spiritual truths.
From the UNbeliever's perspective, Jesus was murdered by the very men he came to save. God simply has sovereign power over wicked men, and so used this for his own glory.
irestinhim 1 year ago

Something tells me that you won't--that your'e not quite so convinced.
bma051000 1 year ago
@bma051000 Because, suicide is a sin, those who believe and Love tho LORD do not intentionally sin, but you are free too since you don't believe in anything, what do you have to lose?
RudeAwakning 1 year ago
@RudeAwakning What do I have to loose? Just knowledge, friendship, money, independence, beautiful days, achievements of life, success, family, HAPPINESS. All the values of the actual, physical, material world, including my life. Yes, MY LIFE is a value and yes values are objective. If I were a collectivist who clings to his ancestral lineage as a source of his identity and self esteem, I would be ashamed to be a fellow Scotsman, but I'm neither a collectivist or a mystic so I'm not.
bma051000 1 year ago
@bma051000, I can only say this. As Solomon clearly taught in the book of Ecclesiastes where he documented his pursuit of happiness in every possible way imaginable apart from God, he was left with this understanding concerning all things.
Everything means NOTHING, if everything is ALL there IS. Everything is meaningless and like chasing after wind because no matter how we live, we entered with nothing and we depart with nothing. Apart from God, everything is for nothing.
irestinhim 1 year ago
@bma051000 I might be misunderstanding you , are you saying its bad to cling to ancestral lineage and be proud of it ? Just confused and wanted clarity is all . Thanks :)
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
@brycejacksoncvt It's wrong to cling to ancestral lineage as the source of your self esteem. In doing so, you are implicitly saying that self esteem isn't something that your EARN by volitional act. It suggests that the source of self esteem isn't man's rational faculty, his productive achievements or the fulfillment of his values, but rather it's an automatic and unearned form of value. There's nothing wrong in being proud of some of your ancestors, but it shouldn't be the source of YOUR pride.
bma051000 1 year ago
@bma051000 - I never said it was the source of my self esteem. That would be the person I am . But the person I am is pieces of who they were . We inherit more then just mere genetics from our ancestors. My ancestral claims are meant to show that I am indeed NOT an American yet do still have a right to be here and to champion my cause for freedom for Vermont, which stood as the Republic of Vermont for 14 years before joining the US, I believe we coud do that again.
brycejacksoncvt 1 year ago
certainly charming, you should go on TV.

MrDathon1577 1 year ago
