  • sweet, that thing has plenty of life left in it.

  • maters big brother hehehe

  • Oh boy, here we go again.....another one who thinks he knows everything, Don't we all just love people like you??

I get exactly whats funny...YOU,,that sound is not the PTO Mr. Know It All! It's an old ooga horn on it that half works. And we do think it is funny, sorry.

  • @classicpower07 who the heck said that?!?!? that doesent even sound remotely likea pto, i know. we have three tractors. two are ford 8n's.

  • @classicpower07 do you still have this truck and if so are you gonna sell it?

  • i don't get whats so funny apout fu%$#@*g up your pto

  • Oh, the fun you can have with a tow truck...

  • @er10b especially tryin to tow a limo when it's parked on a double yellow line...

  • Lovely looking truck, please dont paint it, great as it is!

  • Great old diesel..............

  • RESTORE THAT BEAST!!! YOU HAVE ONE BEAUTY OF A TRUCK...THANKS FOR SHARING

  • Love that old iron, especially partial to old Macks and KWs

  • so awesome

  • What i love about old fuel machinery Is even after 100 or so years that run straight away with just afresh battery or tank of gas, Todays cars and trucks id like to see if they can last that long and still run fine.

  • I can't stop hearing that sound! =D

  • its a ugly truck, but damn its awesome, just love those old rusty big nose trucks! =)

  • DAMN that is the sweetest truck ive ever seen , man wish we got more of these old american trucks over here , pretty rare in the uk

  • is the horn supposed to be like that?

  • I love the old H models. Dad/Granddad had two H67 single axle and I wish i could find them now. Wish we would have saved all the old macks we had.

  • tough as nails

  • Looks like an old Holmes wrecker on it. Is it?

  • It's sad someone would just abandon a vehicle like this.

  • you guys have the best toy. sounds like it can belch. thanks for sharing

  • That is a massive truck

  • cool video, and it be nice to see it fix up.

  • runs like friggin new!!!

  • This tow truck is really cool. My friend has a f250 custom with a holmes 440.

  • Just how rare are these? I've never seen anything like it in Australia. To me, it looks like a newer model Mack from the headlights down, and an old 1960s Bedford (English) truck from the beltline up. I know it's all Mack, but have never seen anything like it. Clean it up, give it a new paint job, but don't mess with the design

  • that thing is sweet i would leave as is

  • damn its all still intact

  • sounds well !

  • COMIN it rusts away.. please save her she begs for help...

  • Respect your elders, Treat that old mack respectfuly.

  • this looks and sound like a maniac on the run truck , or a serial killer...lol

  • she sounds great an looks good must have been runnin tho alredy to have a tank of air

  • sounds great!! one turn is all it needed!!

  • That H Model sounds good. Looks like a Holmes 600 on the workin end. You boys have a Classic Bull Dog for sure. Would be a nice restoration piece. Take Care. Give that thing a little love.

  • Do you still have this unit? Id like to see more of this rig if you still have it. Shes a survivor!

  • what did u ever do with this i mean did it get restored ro anything?

  • sweet man!!!!

  • beutiful.

    what engine does it have?

  • those are pretty rare macks!

  • wow sounds turbo,!

  • Nice sound! =)

  • 6 cyl or v8 im having a hard time to figure it out but it sounds great.

  • Mack 673 inline-6 diesel.

  • that is one hell of a truck. I agree with the poster who said it should not be restored, but preserved as is. someone call Jay Leno but don't let him restore it, just put it in a garage for preservation.

  • ahhhhh a classic

  • is that a detroit

  • I'm not sure, but I wouldn't think that they would put a detroit in a Mack. I'm pretty sure that's a Thermodyne or something similar.

  • Ive seen a few with 6v92s

  • please please leave this one alone, it has too much character to restore. love all the trucks you have featured. longtime subscriber.

  • wow sounds just like the mack ch600 i drive at work ,

  • Mack couldn't get Euro emission standards from their engines, Volvo seen that as an opportunity and offered to buy them out and use their own trademarked technology to meet the requirements. Modern Mack's essentially now have a Volvo engine.

  • Actualy no. Renault bought Mack trucks then volvo bought renault and because of that now owns mack.

  • jeasus what a find, absolutly gorgous truck,go haul off somones car now lol jk

  • sounds good

  • I wish i had 1 :D

  • the truck has been sitting for years and it started right up

  • nice video

  • Thats cool looking!

  • Cool truck!

  • Interesting cab design..

Looks like its has a very straight frame and nothing is bent out of shape.

  • nice resto on that good job lol

  • Unfortunly Mack is owned by Volvo now Not Komatsu im afraid Volvo Will be the death of the Bulldog

  • mack power.....yeahhhhhh!!! spain(cantabria)

  • very very cool, i would love to come across one of those, after my company shut down i purchused my old 1971 r685st model that i used daily and now use it hauling grain. i hauled concrete foundation and road material back to the yard, the 237 motor was underpowered for that, but seems to do better on the farm...long live old macks its a shame there now owned by kamatsu.

  • Shouldve stuck it in a gear for us!

  • Is a 673 and a Thermodyne diesel the same thing?

  • Sort of. The 6 cylinder 673 and 711 were both Thermodynes along with the 864 V8 Thermodyne. With or without turbo chargers.

Mack Gasoline (Petrol) engines were called Magnadyne. So you had the 404, 707 etc. Gassers which were all Magnadynes.

The 6 cylinder 237 Maxidyne made its debut around the mid 60's and the Thermodyne and Magnadyne were soon Phased out.

  • AWESOME! 1st one i have seen running

    Thanks

  • The 673 sounds good what trrannys behind it ? the ole 10 spd duplex ? nice find

  • B422TMack:"The 673 sounds good what trrannys behind it ? the ole 10 spd duplex ? "

Whatever it had, probaly had a two speed rear, too, as well.

  • Nice find.

  • Nice video... Where did you find a truck like that?

  • OK UMM I give up!!! I've Listen to the engine I wanna say its a cummins but I know mack made there own engine too .

  • It's a673 mack diesel.

  • does the winch or the back legs work?

  • Everything on the truck works.

  • do you guys restore for customers...if you do were are you located, and do you also help people find trucks. i would love to come across a 1970s mack f700

  • oops sorry about that, i was in a cab of a locomotive when i typed that in greenbay wisconsin. laptop was acting up up there anywho, found the website when i got home, awesome...

  • are you guys planning on restoring it, refurbishing it, or just leaving it as is?

  • We may fix it up nice, but for now we are just cleaning it up to use around the shop ,everything on the truck works so it will come in handy for pulling trucks into the shop and moving non runners around with .

  • tim rocks...5 stars all the away

  • @classicpower07 great find man, i'd do the same thing and leave her just the way she is, all that rust tells a story and it would be a shame to take away all that character, awesome rig man if you sell it i want it next

  • @classicpower07 it would look good with a fresh coat of paint it looks like it is in fine condition body-wise.
