@eDrifter1 You are right. I was broken when He pulled me out of my old life. Self reliance doesn't work. God reliance works brilliantly. He knows us so well, in that he challenges us with just what we can cope with at one time. Sort it and ask for the next bit imo. He really does know best and we are the beneficiaries. If you struggle, just think is this thing or that thing worth disappointing the Father, who will have His way in the end.
Getting alone with God is essential and when He does touch us it will change us.The quotes from the 'devotional' are so true .Surgery is never fun but the end result is better spiritual health.This is a video I will watch again .God is a Jealous God and will not tolerate rivals and will in love and correction deal with us for our own good .He will is always whats best 4 us !

why wrestle when we know we are not going to win against our Almighty Creator? we will not only lose but we make the process lengthier and more painful for ourselves while knowing that in the end we will have to submit to HIS will anyway. whether it's now or later, it will be accomplished. @cjozie .....our human nature is such that sooner or later we do wind up in God's wrestling ring. It's not a bad thing. Jacob hung on for dear life....I guess He went through the pang of conviction and repentance. I don't know about you, but when I repent I hang on to God for dear life too! Often we learn valuable insight when we wrestle with God. God bless you!

I feel like in one moment I really want to let go and trust Him with everything but the next moment I realise I got caught into it again, it's almost impossible for me to keep my mind where it needs to be .
I feel that this is really the big thing that He's trying to change in my life and if I can learn how to let go there is hope...

I understand what you mean about trusting Him with everything. He's dealing with me on this very same issue. All I can suggest is, keep your relationship alive.....pray lots, read His Word regularly and listen for His voice. Learn to listen....often we spend too much time talking to God and not listening to Him. God bless you!

Praise the Lord, you are learning and you seem so full of joy and acceptence of Gods pruning.
That shows you have a desire to grow!
The ones that have trouble with the trials we face, dont really want to grow.
They see the troubles as God doing something to them and not for them.
But after we see the results, stronger faith, etc.
We accept it and PRAISE HIM!
