Okay I just had to tell you guys. I HAVE TOMBA 1 ON MY ANDROID PHONE!!!!! Get the app FPse, download imgburn, then you just simply add a tomba disc to your computer, start imgburn, press the button "Create imgfile from disc" then it fixes the rest for itself. Then you should get a bin and a cuefile. Add it into a folder, then BAM tomba on your cell!
I recently started playing this again, and like when I played it years ago, I walked all the way to the right to jump into the background and walked all the way back to reach the post box...
graphics hold up really well even today, such a great game... I'm surprised more people didn't get the full game, the demo was what what got me hooked.

Also as a disclaimer to people, you should let people know that it is illegal to download an ISO of something you don't own, and play it on an emulator with a bios that you likely didn't properly extract from the PS1 legally. I only do it because I'm fifteen, and I can't just go out and get job.
@BestMovieDubs Playing the game on an emulator doesn't compare to playing the game in its original form. Anyway, if I were to really play it, I'd burn it to disc, and play it using my modded PS1. Still though, I'd rather have the original game.

Including the discs some shops sell without cases , in the paper sleeves for like $1-$4. thats how I found my Tomba 2. And in good shape .
How hard would it be to get a decent copy of this game? It doesn't have to be sealed, I just want it to work and be in the case with the manual and stuff.

With that said if your not looking for one on the net and looking for it in a store it could be problem, depending on where you live. I did read a article a while back saying they were going to release it for PSN but dont know if that's really going to happen.

@tombafan For sure i would download it in a heart beat. Still have to do MML2 and what not also. I am sure if that game came out it would put me in the mood to look at more classics out there. at 5:48 there is actually a trick that you missed. Cause to days or maybe a day ago while playing with my friend. He threw the red bird behind the big. At the red berry at that... Brown pig plant ? something. And I can't remember what Happend but something funny or nice came out of it. You should try it out
@pinkfluesvamp The thing he missed was throwing a bird at the blue berry (you can also hit it with your weapon) and then, the berry will fall down into the plant and grow into a flower. You will collect the flower and give it to a person later in the game. It's one of 2-3 missions you can fail on if you don't now what's going on. =)

I've first played it on a european demo disc, he was named Tombi on it so when I saw a copy of it being sold, I immediately bought the game. Awesome, if I must say so.
I'll bet I could still do a 130 quest playthrough till now without a guide.
That's just how much I love the game anyways.

@roundtr1p Well I have been lucky in getting originals for a bargain, when the time is right I'll try and get Tombi 1 and I'll make sure I look after it too. I wouldn't really be looking for it on Ebay, I'd look else were. Collector's are the people to look for it and at market's and stuff, If I find it at a market the chance's are the owner wouldn't really know the true value of it. I really miss this game I played the Demo as a kid. :( They should make these old game's come out on the Wii.

After playing the demo I begged for this for Christmas in '97 or '98.. can't remember which. Still play it now and again, it's just such a perfect little game. It's actually fun, like games should be.
By the way. I have a question. I bought a memory card (8 mb) For my ps 2, so I could save Tomba 1 & Tomba 2. But when I save on Tomba 1. It works, but afterwards I can't open my saved file. And when I save Tomba 2, It says "Save error" Can someone tell me what I've done wrong?

...but then our games were simply pirated CD-Rs and our PS1 had modchips. No biggie now :P

@tombafan For sure i would download it in a heart beat. Still have to do MML2 and what not also. I am sure if that game came out it would put me in the mood to look at more classics out there. I was reading the one from destructoid they did a comment on the game. Yeah I need to play more retro games and record them Very hard to keep up with all the games that come out now that its hard to keep up with what I should play next. Might need another bookcase and a clone of me...

at 5:48 there is actually a trick that you missed. Cause to days or maybe a day ago while playing with my friend. He threw the red bird behind the big. At the red berry at that... Brown pig plant ? something. And I can't remember what Happend but something funny or nice came out of it. You should try it out

@pinkfluesvamp The thing he missed was throwing a bird at the blue berry (you can also hit it with your weapon) and then, the berry will fall down into the plant and grow into a flower. You will collect the flower and give it to a person later in the game. It's one of 2-3 missions you can fail on if you don't now what's going on. =)

Yes, Tomba 2 has better graphics, but this game is somehow a little funnier than the second one. But, the second game isn't very far behind at all.

I was laughing my ass off when you were struggling getting peach gas on the pig and chasing that frog. Anyways, kudos to you for doing all this. XD
I've first played it on a european demo disc, he was named Tombi on it so when I saw a copy of it being sold, I immediately bought the game. Awesome, if I must say so.
I'll bet I could still do a 130 quest playthrough till now without a guide.
That's just how much I love the game anyways.
I'll never forget this game even if I get amnesia.

@CherThinksPink I looked on Ebay an a Tomi 1 game was selling for over 80 pound's! If you get lucky you could probably get it for 10 pound's....mabey after christmas.

@roundtr1p Well I have been lucky in getting originals for a bargain, when the time is right I'll try and get Tombi 1 and I'll make sure I look after it too. I wouldn't really be looking for it on Ebay, I'd look else were. Collector's are the people to look for it and at market's and stuff, If I find it at a market the chance's are the owner wouldn't really know the true value of it. I really miss this game I played the Demo as a kid. :( They should make these old game's come out on the Wii.

After playing the demo I begged for this for Christmas in '97 or '98.. can't remember which. Still play it now and again, it's just such a perfect little game. It's actually fun, like games should be.

By the way. I have a question. I bought a memory card (8 mb) For my ps 2, so I could save Tomba 1 & Tomba 2. But when I save on Tomba 1. It works, but afterwards I can't open my saved file. And when I save Tomba 2, It says "Save error" Can someone tell me what I've done wrong?

such memories, i never owned ps1 but my uncle did and he had a demo disk, with this, gex, a buncha games, and this one was so fun, me and my uncle would get sooo far in the demo and then we wouldnt know what to do, they need to put games like this on PSN!!!!!!
