Thanks Pabrognara. I agree with the sound but the bass speakers were just above me so my mic got the full force when the bass kicked in. I am trying to find a way to protect my mic for better sound.

Seems like the sound really was better on the right side of the hall. The mixer seemed to shunt all the bass and low end stuff to the left main speaker.
