  • did pepper tree do a song called dear mr pride,or just mr pride, i seem to remember that song.

  • @wharri5461

You would be correct,,,,it was off a single Everywhere(A Side) Mr.Pride(B Side)

Previous to the release of their LP

  • Thanks for downloading this. I've never heard of these guys! This is amazing!!!

  • i think i wasthere too, around natal day weekend about 1970

  • The best rock concert I have been at, Black Rock Beach, Pepper Tree. AMAZING! You had to be there to believe it. To this day it has been a highlight in my memory. At 55, that memory remains as fresh as the day I have the honor to see such a great performance and one I will always remember. Pepper Tree is one of those great bands never to be forgotten.

  • Awesome tune! Never gets old.

  • Ah, those great Natal Day concerts on the hill, Peppertree, Fludd, Sam Moon, Matt Minglewood, brings back a lot of fond memories.

  • Great sound. lyrics leave a lot to be desired though. Sorry.

  • Wish I could get "love is a railroad" on here... heard it over and over again 7/72 visiting my grandparents on PEI

  • If you go to torrentscan and search for peppertree under BJ Junkie you'll see that one person has the this album and a couple of songs from other albums there. Good Luck

  • If you have the album, could you download the other songs please.

  • I always loved Pepper Tree . I saw them in concert about 1970 in

    small town N.S.

  • Friday night..a trip to the 'Flat"... "The Tree" playing @ the West...fries and gravy at the wall..life was good back then

  • Never ever thought I'd hear any tunes from tis album of You Tube of all places. What a great band from one of Canada's pioneers of rock music. Thank you for posting this. You made my day. Btw, "Mr. Pride" was the band's first single but did not appear on this record. Tim Garagan on vocals and drums, Jimmy White on guitar, Bobby Quinn on organ and Chris Brockway on bass. A fine moment in Canadian rock history!

  • This band played at my highschool, shortly after this song was released. There were some great bands in NS those days. April Wine played at my highschool the year before. We used to see Crowbar, The Lincolns, bands that really knew how to put on a show.

  • Excellent! The way the B3 meant to sound in the year....yeah, I'm an old fat but never the less Always, congrates to Pepper Tree and Bob Quinn

  • always loved this group.i am looking for the song dear mr pride which i do believe was on the same album. if you have it please post it.thanking you un advance

  • brings back memories from a long time ago

  • These guys played a bunch of dates at DHS in the late 60's! Went to every dance they were featured! Too cool!

  • I hitch-hiked 60 miles to see this band play at a concert in 1970 at Black Rock Beach Halifax for a daytime performance. It might have been on Dominion Day (Canada Day) but I don't remember. I was 15 and had a good friend who played in another Nova Scotia band at the time. That band had a very high opinion of Peppertree's lead guitarist. Their single" Mr Pride" was kinda smaltzy and not at all indicative of most of their music. "Airplane" was a favourite on the south shore.

  • I was at a recording session this past Saturday and met the guy Doug Billard that played in that band at Metaworks studiuo in Toronto.

  • oh my sweet jesus id never think i would accually find this song on youtube my uncle bob quinn plays organ in this band

  • Bubble gum psychedelia: Lukey's Boat compared to these guys in the same way Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac compared to Three Dog Night .

By the way, are there any videos or even audio tapes of the late, lamented Boat?

  • THANKS FOR THIS POST!!!! I have been looking for this song forever!! AWESOME!

  • Please note: Chris played with Pepper Tree - not Second Alliance.

  • Great song! Covered by our band in the early seventies - Second Alliance. Home town bass player Chris Brockway played with the group at that time - awesome bass player. I heard Chis play this with Pepper Tree at Humber Gardens in Corner Brook. lol - I still know the bass part. Great memories!

  • Ahhh thanks for the great memories!!! :)

  • I remember this song but forgot the band...refreshing to finally hear it again...thanks man!

  • @Termite58 shame on u..u can't be from halifax

  • Good band good tune.....seen these guys live back in 1971 on the Halifax concert on the hill....WOW

  • Another cool song I had never heard before. Thanks for the upload MCB.
