Personally, I would recommend new players not to send a message asking a player not to raid them. The top raiders I know only increase their raids after that. That piece of advice is not a good one.

here is my steps how can you not be a resources bank:

1)- upgrade your resources to higher levels

2)- increase you crany level

3)- be a gaul because a double amount of resources can be restored in the cranny

4)- build a wall and make traps alot of them!

follow these steps and you will be like an easy rabbit fighting with an alien!

To fix negative crop you need to either raid crop from other people and get your croplands higher, or you suicide your troops by attacking an oasis.

Fun in beating weaker players? Maybe efficient and necessary because else the other farmers would get the ress. But that's just work not fun. Fun is messing with equal opponents. All these Vids are quite well for beginners for not losing the fun to fast, but really not more. And this only if they don't dare attacking active players. The best way not to be a farm is.........you'll find out if you got the hint.. ;)

I put a description in my profile saying the village is a monastic or druids settlement, people generally don't seem inclined to mess with religious types.

I also just make sure I have rock hard defences, bring it on... if you can take it, you deserve it lol.

If you write right after you see the attack coming and make your ress save, you show activity and after a couple of attacks w/o bounty the'll look for more efficient target's as far as they're not stupid. But you all are right with not write "please don't attack me". You must write a kind of "well try it but it's just lost time." And allways stay polite and friendly.

When you are protecting your resources, it also helps to build a Residence, even if it is only level 1. It'll kill a few of the guys soldiers when he raids you, even if you don't have any soldiers of your own. It'll make him not want to come back.

Best way to stop getting farmed is to cover your resources with crannys including the teuton bonus, build your wall to a highish level, maybe 10. Personally if a guy is attacking you constantly even if they don't get resources, this is to try to stunt your growth, messaging the player isn't going to stop them, if they have only attacked you once its best to not send them a message as they might of forgot about you. Building small amounts of troops are useless if getting farmed.

"Please don't attack me, I'm a new player" This works for a amount of players, But Travian has a really cruel BUT useful War System, It's called Schmoozing, If you are in war with a higher population village, Just keep attacking, This will show the high population village that you are active and stop.

If you are a defensive player one important thing is never to be agressive in your diplomacy with better equipped players. Point out the benefits the bigger player could reap by leaving you be.

Access to your defence in the future, an hours ration of resources a day, etc.

If you are an agressive player just spend your resources, dodge the attack and get hin while he sleeps :D

Im pretty retarded for asking this question but what does an inactive and active village mean?

I know if it's active, the person is still playing and is sufficiently growing.

If it's inactive, does it mean the person was destroyed and quit?

Inactive village: the person has quit playing, but not yet deleted his account. Inactive village go off the map after some time, dunno how long

Another option is to send away troops on long-distance missions in that way you can plan on what time of day you want to play, you dont loose troops and the farmers get nothing because of the crannies...

keep your troops in eternal emotion and it wont stop growing.. important to remember is to choose your farm village carefully.. dont attack a larger village then urself or a Gaul village because of the traps and the 2x cranny

because it can also help you to hide your resources more than the capacity of your cranny..how?send your resources to your friend alliance while they are attacking you..or sell all your resources on the market and exchange it twice the size of it..if someone buys it then ur lucky.. ^_^

If in an alliance, Id always send my resources to my allies before being attacked, when combined with crannys the enemy ends up getting nothing, not only that. I only keep my hero in the village and send my men off to raid, by the time theyre back the only change is the enemy has lost some men, ive received some xp for my men and resources are being sent back to me.
