well in fact , the standard model fails-i think-since till now it has not manage to unify the strong force with the weak and electromagnetic ones.

i think that we should focus on the geometrical side of physics, we should try to describe the masses of the particles of the standard model not from the spontanous symmetry breaking (Higgs) but simply as a curvature in space-time... even the SUSY fails..

we should look beyond the gauge theories...

The fact is that the standard model provides an astonishingly accurate and reliable description of virtually everything observable in particle physics today. To go beyond the Standard Model, you first have to understand it deeply and appreciate how it works so well.

Classical mechanics could only have been transcended by people who had a profound understanding of how it works, and its deep structures. The same goes for the Standard Model
