I wouldn't see Chris Hemsworth as Jamie in my mind, the truth is that Jamie is so perfect in my mind that I don't want to associate him with anybody... LOL! But I did think of Emily Blunt as Claire, too

Emily is 92% Claire...perhaps that's as close as we might get with known current actors. But I thought the impossible task would be to find the perfect man...Jamie. But I must disagree, Chris is SPOT ON a Scott a handsome man...and Jamie thru & thru!

I think that Chris would be perfect for Jamie. He has the brawn (since bulking up for Thor and Intelligence, humor and innocence at least as far as women go) as he is a virgin. Also he is young enough to play 23. I think Winslett would be a good choice as she has the build of Clare, but as you say the chemistry has to be right between the two actors. I heard the rights have been optioned. Chris will still be young enough to play Jamie while the option is still out there! we can but dream!

Great trailer and casting. Just saw Chris Hemsworth in Thor and immediately saw Jamie Fraser. The actress as Claire seemed close. I have also thought of Kate Winslet after I recently saw her in the movie Quills.

@PARTIZAN70 Dankeschön :) Es gibt noch kein Datum, und es wird dieses Jahr auch noch nicht gedreht, weil sie auch das Script von Ann Peacock (hat auch Narnia adaptiert) erst gegen Ende des Jahres erwarten. Dass das script von Ann Peacock kommt, ist wohl auch ein Hinweis darauf, dass es ein Kinofilm sein wird.

For the English speaking people with the same question: Shooting wont start this year anymore b/c they expect Ann Peacocks script at the end of the year (Ann Peacock = movie ?)

these videos are good and all, but id just be happy with something moving on the film. or even better a mini series on hbo/showtime so justice could be done properly without the ratings. i think if they went more of the raw sexual /violent way more people would get into it. to stay true to the book instead of PG it for everyone.

@radrico I think that IF they make a miniseries it should be made by the BBC. I don't trust hbo/showtime etc to capture the spirit of the novel. BBC are very good at this without making it pathetic. But I am in for a big screen movie of 2 1/2 or 3 hours. If you keep everything in, don't cut anything and make it exactly like the book it will be plain boring b/c everybody already has a movie which is exactly like the book in his/her mind.

The video is AWESOME! I love it...But even though the actor Chris is handsome I just can't see him in the role of Jamie...even if his hair was red he would not be my choice for that role...But that is just my opinion. I know Gerard Butler maybe too old but i think I could see him more as a jamie or Henry Cavil. My pick would be Gabriel Aubry but i know he is not an actor,just a model. Other than that the video was very well done. I enjoyed it.

@tere0723 thank you :) You know, unortunately there is no chance that all Outlander fans will agree on one actor. Even if Jamie Fraser himself came to life there would probably be a lot of women who wouldn't like him or his looks.
