This was from Richie's FIRST solo tour - and he was in top form. I absolutely love this performance. I think I have this performance on a VHS tape somewhere - I always regret that I've never had the opportunity to see Richie SOLO in concert, and I'm always praying he'll have the opportunity to tour again.

Simply beacuse he is, in what people consider, very unfairly in my estimation, a hair band. Sambora is one of the most underated guitarists of all time. Rolling Stone 'polls' are only peoples, many times, biased opinions. If I were to choose between going to see Clapton or Sambora play, I know who I would pick every time. Look at Richie's solos.

People deride Bon Jovi due to women going along to concerts just to oggle John's ass, he's talanted, but stop staring and start listening to Richie!

I agree whole hearted with you, but then Richie makes my knees weak. Much better looking than Jon, in my opinion. And he can sing Jon under the table, and we haven't even touched on the fact that he is probably the best guitarist I have ever heard and I have been around awhile (I'm a grandmother). I have a cat who turned 18 years old today named Sambora.

Go listen to some of the stuff Clapton plays on One More Car One More Rider or at CrossRoads 2010. It's not guitar playing - it's magic.
