@IBelong2yu Don't judge the poor dog on one video of him with his sibling. Fergus is a stunningly good and well adjusted Border Collie and we'll be getting another one from this same breeder in due course.

@ESteele1987 Depending where you live they you may find them listed as 'Red' Border Collies. Do a Google search for Border Collie Breeeders in your area.

Wow... I never knew what Shane was. We knew he was a border collie, but he had the color of a collie instead of the black and white.

He was my best friend for 14 years. I grew up with him and he with me.

In 1980 a scum bag poisoned him.

I'll never forget that day. He died by his house, in my arms.

I hope you get to see him again too .. but not too soon please! The big problem with our canine friends is that they grow old all too quickly and before you know it they pass away.

We have two 11 year old B&W's and are not looking forward to the day when they pass on to their next lives leaving us behind to mourn their loss.

eyeherdewez, the recipe for perpetual ignorance is: Be satisfied with your opinions and content with your knowledge.

The following colours are recognised as legitimate BC Standards in Australia. Black, Tri, Red, Chocolate, Blue and Blue merle. There are also Lilac and Sable shades.

What ever colour BC you end up with, I hope you give it the care and love it requires for a long and happy life.

PS: BTW it's spelt Correction. ;)

Have you tried talking to the breeder you purchased her from? Pity you can't take her with you, I'm certain she'll miss you. Still a chocolate BC won' be hard to sell on to a good home.

Our puppy, Fergus, is now two and he's still as cute as ever. He's developed a real character of his own and the two Black and Whites, Zacson and Jessie (both now ten years old), have accepted him into the family as one of our own. :)

personaly chocolate border collies are my favriote i find them cuter than the black and white ones (Dont get me wrong i think all border collies are Magnificent and cute)

but anyways my puppy is 7months now =) she has 50 toys(shes spoiled) but the reason we have so many toys is because SHE KNOWS EVERY SINGLE TOYS NAME, she knows so much her names:Marley, shes chocolate, and so addorible, we had her on a holty for 2 months while we walked her now she dosent bark =) I LOVE YOU MARLEY<3

Yes! Young Fergus spent some time at 'the farm' while my wife was on Holiday in NZ.

Kerodan now has a new litter of chocolates and some wonderful images on her website.

No we don't breed. We picked up Fergus from Kerodan and can highly recommend them for BC's. :)

As for tips on training well that's not really my department. I *can* say that all training Jacky does is based on Positive Reinforcement. It's the only way we'll deal with our 'children' and it has always brought us success. Treat them with respect, be positive and they will always perform at their best abilities for you in kind. :)

My border collie puppy Sasha has a best friend she always plays with at the dog park and her name is Ruby and they play just like that they are so cute my puppy is only 5 months old and one day older than her best friend Ruby. My puppy is black and white. Sasha doesn't bite well only when she plays.

Thank you so much for your comments. It sounds like you love your BC's very much, as we do ours. We have three BC's. Two Black and White's, Jess and Zac (both 9 in October this year) and of course our Chocolate BC, Fergus who's 9 months.
