  • Anyone who says certain parts take too long...fuck yourselves...its 14 minutes long....its supposed to take for fucking ever...ITS EPIC AS FUCK!!!!!

  • So much influence by the band Von in this song...An epic song...the 2nd half the drummer just holds back and lets everyone do their thing and is so god damn epic...my favorite watain song ever...not too many people can do an epic 14 min. song...So much talent in this band...WATAIN FOREVER!!!!!

  • TAKE ME HOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • That chord progression towards the end is really nasty, painful, and I think it's only by the guitar solos that it's made more "fun" for listening. What an intense fucking band.

  • Saturh, great dark in the yonder

I give you my soul to devour

So that I may be judged in your deathlike glare

    And purified

For thou art the wisdom's keeper

The shoreline where truth shall unwind

A truth that in life I am doomed to search

    But shall die to find

    -Waters of Ain

  • This is my favorite song from Lawless Darkness :)

  • After hearing this song I am left completely emptied and completely struck back by the immense ammount of emotions portrayed at the end. Best song I've heard in a long time!

  • it's aaalllmost orgasmic

  • You shut you're mouth emo

  • LOVE the way they have a few mellow songs, and aren't just ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK all the time. 8D

  • @ecofreak9 or parts of songs

  • haha! ey, sorry man, didn't know it was your period. all i'm sayin is that during them long verses, it would be nice if they could spice things up, not playing exactly the same for two minutes straight...but maybe thats what you like about it....

  • @MrBigwhiteballs Don't worry, it's not said with any kind of anger...

By the way, yes, I like it this way, but only when it's well done. That's their case in my opinion. And it's exactly the same for the opposite. For me, 90% of the Norwegian scene sucks simply because they are much more "repetitive" in their song structuce, and that it's not well done.

  • I love you Watain!

  • ftw better mean fuck the world.... or i'm fucking wrong.

  • @adamthemaniac66 I'm gonna go out on a limb and say thats what it means.

  • Man man man, seriously, this song is absolutely amazing in all aspects. Been listening it today again, and has been on repeat for like 90 minutes now. Actually gonna play it once more right now hehe. Thanks for this great piece of artistic work, Watain!

  • Someone tab this, lol

  • @KeybladeKorney

I know how to play some of the parts. Could maybe tab them later.

  • WATers of AIN => Watain + ersof => ersof / forse -> force => Watain Force/Force Watain!1!!!1!!!!

  • ave dei nostri satanas! Rege satanas! Hail watain for this epic piece of art!

  • This song always gives me the chills... yet another master piece

  • Awesome band! Sounds just like my band! Check us out. Shadows in the crypt! CD out on cdbaby.com! \m/

  • @LawrencePAPHL ...Fuck off.

  • fucking great!!

  • Satan!! Satan!! nege nege ius humalon cam sai ego difibrai

  • Epic enough to have it on repeat for hours.

  • too addictive now its startin to get irritating lol had it on soooo much

  • absolutely fucking beautiful.

  • nobody writes music this sinister

  • I usually dont care for black metal, but i have to make an exception for this, awesome stuff!

  • i can imagine hearing this on eriks funeral!

  • when black metal becomes progressive i'll consider listening to it

  • @MrBigwhiteballs when you drop some balls I'll consider further thinking how stupid that statement was.

  • Ftw means Fuck The World? lol i thought the album art says 666 For The Win

  • @PlayerPro119 hahaha never noticed that. next they might put in LOL or ROFLMAO :P

  • @killswitch3ngag3 Then maybe you should just leave your computers a little bit and go in the real world and you will see that "FTW" was primary used by outlaw bikers as a sign of rebellion against the society.

  • @TombViolator dude relax... Maybe you should stop cribbing and get some humor into your life instead. I meant that as a joke. Didnt find it funny? too bad. Jackass

  • @killswitch3ngag3 Nope, sorry, my humor is a bit more sophisticated than this.

  • @killswitch3ngag3 Like I said. Too bad

  • @TombViolator "FTW" was/is used by Outlaws against society, yes this is true. But these outlaws are not limited to people who ride motorcycles.

  • @scatpornpooboy For sure not only, but I was saying this because most of outlaw bikers wear a FTW patch on their jacket, and also because E., P. & H. are bike lovers and that the link between the biker way of life is close to their FTW.

  • @TombViolator Yeah, Watain, and a lot of true Anarchists/Satanists align with people of similar ideals. Some of the true rebellious biker gangs around the world have share a similar whole FTW mentality.

  • i cannot believe this song...........is so fucking amazing!!!!!!!!! HAIL WATAIN FOREVER!!

  • similar music in Quake 2 :P

  • Wow Fuckin Great!!!!! A lot of thrash and classic metal influence. This is true black metal. And I don't mean true as evil and Satanic. True is a band that holds their roots close to them and are true to themselves. That is true... Something sincere and honest. Does`n't have to be from Norway and doesn't have to be satanic. Only honest.

  • This heavy metal solo at the end is just PERFECT !

  • @kilik2049 This is Selim from The Devil's Blood!!!! :-) KILLER!

  • slayer is bullshit don't compare Watain to that garbage.

  • Who is the miserable dumb fuck who actually disliked this video?

  • @JinnxdkM Probably a mis-click

    It's happened to me

  • I am Sri Lankan! And I'm proud to say that my favourite brand of Metal is Swedish Metal!!! Hail \m/

  • The begining reminds me "south of haven" from Slayer!Hail Watain!

  • @Daemonaut "Ain" (or Ayn/Ein) is the infinite nothingness in opposition to Ein Sof in Kabbalah.

  • I think this track is absolutely perfect. It has everything. Power, dissonance, melody, atmosphere, clean guitars, distorted guitars (naturally) - same for the vocals and, quite honestly, one of if not, THE best solo I have ever heard in all my life.

You can really feel the love from 12:02 - 'Lawless Darkness was made with love rather than with hate' See the Terrorizer interview.

  • @DreadnoughtMetal2006

    Couldn't agree more.

  • @DreadnoughtMetal2006 It does not have the black metal composition. Streched out heavy metal at the best :(

  • @Kavbojus it is quite melodic afterall, maybe your trying to imply black metal cant be melodic

  • @18je1 I'm not.

  • @DreadnoughtMetal2006 finally someone who understands. I have been trying to tell people what I mean, but they can't understand what I am saying about this song, but you know. "I give you my soul to devour.......a truth that in life I am doomed to search...but shall die to find." sheer fucking brilliance followed by the best solo known to man. that is why Watain is so good.

  • @9t6b6d6m9 It has a magic about it. Even people who HATE Black metal (or somtimes any kind of metal actually), openly admit that the writing is phenomenal and musical. The solos are just appreciated by them as well.

Greatness transcends all boundaries. I can play it but, not with the same feeling that they give it.

  • @DreadnoughtMetal2006 I couldn't have put it better myself.

  • "So soon he sails towards the setting sun, at the end of the world..." Gives me goose bums.... Carl Mc Coy says that line perfectly!

  • i love to play this music in the morning drinking my pinkie lemonade and reading my diary hehe

    Watain rules!

  • Fantastic.

  • reminds me of revelation 666 , i like it

  • fave song ever!!!!!!!

  • @SmashedUpFetus Burzum is boring.

  • @TombViolator you mean you dont have the patience for music that doesnt introduce something new every 10 seconds to keep your attention

  • @SmashedUpFetus You know I listen to a lot of classical, so, patience for music, I know what it is. Burzum is just boring except two or three songs made in the beginning of the band.

  • @TombViolator classical music varies more than most other genres, and doesnt take much patience to listen to or get involved in. if youd said you listen to a lot of house music, or ambient music, or something similar, then it would have made sense, because they use repetition and build slowly

  • @SmashedUpFetus I listen to SunnO))) and Lurker of Chalice. Burzum is boring.

  • @SmashedUpFetus as a burzum fan I know exactly what you mean. as a watain fan I dont know what the fuck your talking about. But as you know, burzum is best through headphones yes? try that with this song full through and you might hear it, if not at least you have burzum, which I have to admit is nothing compared to watain.

  • @TombViolator Depends of the compositor you're listening to...

And I do listen to a lot of ambient and dark ambient music, and industrial, also... And so Burzum is boring, especially the ambient period. Burzum is "cult" only because of the acts of Vikernes, not his pretended musical genious.

  • @TombViolator Burzum's first three albums were incredible. Even Erik Danielsson acknowledges this.

  • @ncawadias well, that's E. you know. And that's probably you too. But to me the first Burzums albums are not bad but they still pretty much boring compared to A Blaze In The Northen Sky or De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas for example.

  • @TombViolator

Go comment the Burzum crap on a Burzum video. Let Watain be Watain and hail them!

  • @BeliarMusic It's SmashedUpFetus who talked about Burzum first, not me.

  • "Do not mistake me for a star

Though I'll shine like them at night

But behold instead the darkness in between them

    The Devil's light"

    This band is so unique.

They give their lyrics the most poetic approach to satanism i've ever heard from any band

  • @Akhin yeah it gives me a raging boner

  • @jsbrown193 It means Fuck The World.

  • an entire masterpiece!!!!!!

  • Best atmospheric Black metal song ever made!!!

  • @satansprick13 Go to the Temple of the Black Light website and click on "Publications", all their books are here. Most of them are unfortunately not available in English but will be soon.

  • 11-14-2010, Vancouver.

I was deeply moved by the performance of this track, to a point where I was at loss during the latter half. Tragically moving...absolutely beautiful. This is music that breathes.

The show was definitely a transcendental experience...extremely overwhelming in every aspect. Watain's live energy is astounding- it is absolutely titanic in size, and just casts a net over the audience from the first note to the last. One has to experience it firsthand to truly understand.

  • @jsbrown193 Fuck The World

    FTW

  • Awesome vocals

  • SEATTLE. 11-13-2010 @ Studio 7 fucking amazing energy. Whole show was beautiful; this song in particular hit me deep.

  • This song is so incredible. I listen to at least once or twice per day. This is honestly one of the greatest albums ever recorded.

  • HOLY FUCK! JUST got back from Pittsburgh. They did this fucking EPIC!! First show in the US!! All I can say is if they come ANY where close to you GO!! Fuckin' Eric owns the stage! The venue was an old CHURCH!! He was loving it. "Our enemy was once worshiped here" he said. Also, Black Anvil and Goat Whore rocked the house, worth going in and jamming for sure!! Oh, drummer for Black Anvil, thanks for the Vinyl bro!! HAILS \m/

  • 14.28m...wow, great song....they play this live?

  • BEST SONG EVER!!!!!!!!

  • This is the best track on the album!

    Classic and brutal!

  • @jsbrown193 It's for "Fuck The World".

  • @TombViolator "WTF" :)

  • carl mc coy is a genius musician to

  • hey guys....can someone explain me,what that symbol means between "lawless" and "darkness"???

  • @nargwinth88 It's another way to say "Chaos", in spiritual words for sure... Chaos is the absence of light (darkness) and the absence of the laws of the universe (lawless (the laws of god)).

In the anti-cosmic gnosticism, there is three dark veils before Satan, these veils are Chasek (darkness), Bohu (emptiness) and Tohu (chaos). These veils are commonly presented as a "trident". The trident also symbolize the wrathful divinities. But primaly for Watain, it represent the original line-up.

  • @TombViolator its funny how rich posh bastards with any kind of ethics ,religion or philosophy want to create their own ,lazy bone religion.this is the mirror to your ugly western egoism, lack of emotion, lack of social integrity.thanks god the3. world world is watching your so called true art...our almost starving new breed will wake you up from your anticosmic sesamestreet-sleep.africa,asia,latin-america will warble your chessebugerasses, and break your red beernoses.you`ll meet real satan soon

  • @satansprick13 Nothing better to do than trolling ?

  • @nargwinth88 its also a symbol of enforcment

  • @nargwinth88 In ancient greek mythology it was the symbol of Poseidon, god of the seas. It represents a trident, a weapon primarily used for fishing. Later the Romans called him Neptune (although it was pretty much the same deity), this is why today we still use the symbol for the planet Naptune.

It's also associated with the Hindu deity Shiva. And of course, in Christian mythology the trident often was associated with Satan.

  • This is their fucking best ALBUM up to date! They are closer to the core of Watain, fucking epic!

  • An absolute masterpiece! We need more music like this to push the genre forward.

  • WATers of AIN. Epic.

  • The melody at approximately 5:00 min reminds me Dissection .

  • 1.12-1.25 riff have some celtic frost tune

  • Am I the only person who is reminded of Metallica in their days of glory by this song's melodic parts and solos from 10:25 onwards?

  • @Luukeksi there is a little something of metallica in the solo part. It reminds me a little fade to black. It's fucking dark and beautiful.

  • The Masterpiece of the Lawless Darkness album!!!

  • @skateanddie666 A masterpiece of Swedish black metal. Hail Watain.
