My first bottle of hard liquor was old crow, got a gallon for 9.99 (should tell you a little about the stuff right there) and I've been drinking it on and off ever since, sure there is better stuff but when it comes down to a hot summers day there is nothing like it. Although I do prefer Bacardi's 151 more now days (even stronger, the only down side is it is rum not whisky) but the crow has always been there and always will be there. Long live the crow and those who dare to drink it
I like Jack Daniels Whiskey but............its not the first, there was Old Crow Whiskey .....its a 3rd of the price and the only difference is the maple flavoring which comes from the barrels, you can make Old Crow taste like jack just by adding maple syrup to the bottle , at only $7 a fifth its worth it . I treat myself to Jack Daniels on occasions but mostly get the CROW , first burbon whiskey EVER
Man OLD CROW is just a good cheat bourbon..Sure you may find a better tasting or more expensive bottle.. But you know what, its all good. Old Crow or what ever it may be. I will spend 10 or 40 on a bottle of bourbon on any day of the week .What ever i feel like on any given day..I keep my taste buds working... I guarantee.... CHREERS
Old Crow ain't half bad. There's an old saying...."you get what you pay for" that's true for most everything, except whiskey. Some crappy ones are very expensive. And some tasty ones are pretty cheap.
I got wasted off old crow a couple weeks ago around a campfire with some friends and then i got lost in the woods and had to wade through some water. :(
If National Distilleries hadn't inadvertently changed the recipe when they refurbished the distillery in the 60s, it might not have been bought out by Beam in the 80s. Subsequently being relegated to the bottom shelf. At one time Old Crow was middle to top.
I learned of Old Crow from Beavis and Butthead. Principal McVickers drank that shizz straight from the bottle, and kept a fifth in his desk. I saw Old Crow at the ol' County Line Package Store, not far from Georgia Southern, for $5.00 a fifth. I truly thought Old Crow was a Mike Judge invention, but was promptly proven very, very wrong. Truly, Old Crow taste straight-up like liquid sandpaper filtered through dirty-ass dirty dirty...
You probably mean Old Grand Dad Whiskey? We have already reviewed it on the show. In the search window on our youtube page type old grand dad. To our knowledge Old Dan Tucker is and old folk song, not associated with any Kentucky gold that we know of. Thanks for watching the Haunted Saloon, Cheers!
Honestly, the price of Crow is a bargain, Its good whiskey, many people pass it up cause it looks cheap. It's been around for real long time, and it's my whiskey of choice. As far as my knowledge goes, its stilled in the same place as Beam, but the difference between the two is the filtration, and aging. Thank you for the history lesson!the background of crow is interesting! I urge any whiskey (not scotch, bourbon.) fan to try old crow, id be wiling to bet you'd like it, specially for the price.
those ladies can drink!

horrible stuff. who cares if it's cheap? Evan Wiliams, the King of cheap bourbon imo, is only a couple bucks more and is that much better.

Old Crow sucks. It was real good until about 1992 when Beam started making the juice that goes in the bottle.
Try Wild Turkey Rye or Tom Moore Bottle in Bond.

So how would you compare this to Old Times whiskey? (if you've tried it) which is the other well known "bottom shelf" bourbon.

Err, I mean, Early Times, I guess I got it confused

I've got Old Dan Tucker on my counter. It's real. It's in my coffee right now. If it's that unusual, I'm keeping the bottle. ;-)
