There are many exceptional tyers out there and all with their own touches which help inspire us but I get most of my inspiration from people like yourself that let me know that I have inspired them to tye and have a go themselves. Since I started uploading the flies I tye on youtube I get asked lots of questions about materials and how to use them and the easiest way to answer them is to film myself tying a fly which shows this..

Great fly, i was just wanting to ask what size you would tie this down to?

There's a lot of dressing there so wonder how that would look on a 14 or16?

In the smaller size I would use a single CDC feather instead of the two and the hackle I would just have a few fibres tyed in at both sides..I'm glad you liked the dressing, I would be very interested to hear how you get on with it..

@TotallyFlyTying David, you really don't need bugbond! Save your money and get some far more useful materials for the £30 that the kit costs! BB has some great uses, and Davie uses it to great effect on the patterns he uses it on. But if you only have limited means, it is one of the least important products that you need.

Hi Alan,

It is like you said it has it's uses but you get away without using Bug-Bond, for me it means I can complete a fly straight away but if you have plenty of time then a few coats of varnish will do..
