O'Reilly may be wrong in his opinions, but that doesn't make him a liar. NPR has had a similar leak as to their journalistic integrity. Not to forget Dan Rather reporting on fraudulent documents. It is evident across the news spectrum. FOX is not unique. Ratings dictate the news we are afforded. By the by, O'Reilly is a pundit not a journalist.

@luke55664 If you want yet another example, Bill O'Reilly had a segment with his shock-reporter Watters about Power Shift 2011, something I attended and took part of. They interviewed a number of people that either poorly represented the conference or were apathetic. I was there with a number of highly motivated and well-informed activists from the U of MN, and if Watters had honest journalistic interests, he would have found and aired more well represented interviewees, which I met many of.
@luke55664 You're right, my statement of his motivations is indeed an opinion. However, I think it's implicit in how he didn't seem to find any interviewees that were highly competent. Like I said, I was with and met a number of very smart activists that could have answered any of the questions posed with confidence, and I can only imagine there were more of them. Waters has a history of finding straw men, as does Fox News in general. Check LiberalViewer's playlist, and judge for yourself.

I wouldn't be surprised if MSNBC exaggerated their characterization of the Tea Party, but most media outlets don't seem so much biased towards a political party as they are biased towards sensationalism and drama. Fox News is an exception, because of it brazenly dishonest methods of spreading a consistently conservative message. These have been documented.

CBS listed 4 Republicans & 1 Democrat, (Nancy Pelosi) as those named in the book, while FOX was just the opposite, citing 4 Democrats & only 1 Republican. Bias is the nature of a free society while forming an opinion from the facts, and/or what has been propagated, is our personal nature.

Bias can exist in any news media, but the value and quality of them should be decided by how well they tell the full story and allow their viewers to form their own opinions. If that's how we grade news, then FOX certainly get's a big F, and it looks like CBS could deserve one too.

I wouldn't defend MSNBC in any absolute terms, as I don't trust to get the full story from them, even with my left leanings. That said, I believe they have a much better track record of not grossly and purposely distorting facts to fit a consistent agenda, like Fox does very frequently. Also, I don't see any entries on Politifact for "MSNBC" as an organization, though I see some for Maddow.

Economics is a very complicated field trying to pin down goals that change from person to person. Your ideology is likely different than mine, and thus so are your opinions about what makes up a prosperous society.
FEE can be as biased as any other organization. Continue to read them, by all means, but, from the sound of it, it seems you need to put their ideas through a more critical filter.

@luke55664 If you want yet another example, Bill O'Reilly had a segment with his shock-reporter Watters about Power Shift 2011, something I attended and took part of. They interviewed a number of people that either poorly represented the conference or were apathetic. I was there with a number of highly motivated and well-informed activists from the U of MN, and if Watters had honest journalistic interests, he would have found and aired more well represented interviewees, which I met many of.

Like I said, I was with and met a number of very smart activists that could have answered any of the questions posed with confidence, and I can only imagine there were more of them. I wouldn't be surprised if MSNBC exaggerated their characterization of the Tea Party, but most media outlets don't seem so much biased towards a political party as they are biased towards sensationalism and drama. Fox News is an exception, because of it brazenly dishonest methods of spreading a consistently conservative message. These have been documented.

CBS listed 4 Republicans & 1 Democrat, (Nancy Pelosi) as those named in the book, while FOX was just the opposite, citing 4 Democrats & only 1 Republican. Bias is the nature of a free society while forming an opinion from the facts, and/or what has been propagated, is our personal nature.

Bias can exist in any news media, but the value and quality of them should be decided by how well they tell the full story and allow their viewers to form their own opinions. If that's how we grade news, then FOX certainly get's a big F, and it looks like CBS could deserve one too.

I wouldn't defend MSNBC in any absolute terms, as I don't trust to get the full story from them, even with my left leanings. That said, I believe they have a much better track record of not grossly and purposely distorting facts to fit a consistent agenda, like Fox does very frequently. Also, I don't see any entries on Politifact for "MSNBC" as an organization, though I see some for Maddow.

Economics is a very complicated field trying to pin down goals that change from person to person. He needs to complain about his own countries leader and government. Im not the only person who thinks this either, lol(if your going to say that). MANY people think so. Tons of people say it in other countries too, like England's gov, we don't live there so don't really have a right to complain, and ppl do.

In response to the claim that only the opinion pieces have people lying in them, note the parts about being fair and balanced.
Also, if you would indicate a few pieces which are not opinion pieces, I guarantee I can find several examples of lying.
Lastly, just because CNN and FOX disagree does not mean CNN is lying.

@100percentrekkie CNN lies a lot. And every clip on youtube that people put on here that they try to prove FOX is lying has all opinions... so it's failing. Just like this one. CNN lies sometimes but I think they just hold a lot of stuff back because they don't want people knowing the real truth. What's there to be angry with about FOX? What's the real reason? All they do is report about what's REALLY going on in this country. People are scared and show it by hatred. It's that simple.
