@wytetyger1 The only difference is the Method you use. Method 1 is for Roamers, Method J is for all other Pokemon in the game. The other parameters are your choice.

@bakufun1 You can find the IVs using IV calculators on the internet. If the Shaymin was outside of your game or forced shiny via hacks, you can't use it here.

@bakufun1 Remember, the pokemon will only find the SID of the game it was caught in. If you're trying to RNG in SoulSilver with the red Gyrados, you must catch it several times and find IVs without saving, as it uses the Chain to SID method.

@gamewiz98 The Target Time is the time you are trying to hit while compensating for the title screen sequence. It is the time listed on RNG Reporter.

How do I find the SID and min. delay?

@darkria4 Those are determined via Calibration(part 1) and methods to find your SID, with a random shiny or chained shinies.

As i've never been lucky enough to get a shiny (apart from gyarados at lake of rage, which i'm told won't help), i can't find my SID. Any recomendations?

@klawz90 Actually, the Gyrados at the Lake of Rage helps. It uses the chained shiny method, so you need to catch it, get it's IVs without saving, reset, and do it again 5-7 times. YOu can then use the Chain to SID feature in RNG Reporter. Other than that, you'll just need to get a shiny.

um...i am a bit confused...well today i read that you can find out your SID with a chained shiny...plz search for it...i want to learn my SID but idont have pure (1/8192) shiny pokemon .... i mean i had once but i had a new game then.....i have to learn my secret ID.... plz

@pokelord4 i read this on a video UPDATE 26th August 2009: There's now a way to find the Secret ID with "4 to 8" Poke Radar shinies, so you don't necessarily need a 1 in 8192 chance random shiny (except in Emerald, obviously).

@JeromeTheGodOfChaos No, you can't use the Initial Seed Finder to calculate a seed. Fly has no effect on the RNG. Your English is fine...

Could you do something AMAZING with this, as well? Like, how you synchronize your DS or whatnot, because I'm the type to learn by watching/doing, not by reading, so I have NO idea who to sync it. Love the tutorial though.

If you mean how to sync it, that's easy. First, you need a clock with a clear seconds reading. Set your DS to the time you need, but don't confirm it yet. When it hits the next minute on the clock, press A to set the time on your DS. You have now synchronized the clock seconds with the DS seconds. As for something AMAZING, I don't know what you mean by that.

Possibly, but the chances are slim to none. It's hard to get a pokemon with 4 31 IVs, much less 6. And shiny no less! I've searched that using my Pt ID and SID for the year 2009 and got 0 results.

Well, if there are little specifications and a high enough Max Frame, that is perfectly normal. It's amazing how we just miss all those frames. :)

If you do 5, there is a 1 in a million chance you will get something. You pick the range. I usually set it to about 300.

You choose it. Higher frames mean more Journal Flips, so choose wisely!

What's the point of the delay?

The delay, along with the target time, create the seed that outputs the results. If you hit your target time but miss the delay, you will not get the results you want.

That's the hard part. The delay counts up roughly 60 times every second between SR and pressing A on the continue screen. You should pick a delay that is in your delay range. If you don't hit it, catch the pokemon and enter your stats to see what you did hit, and adjust from there.

Then you should go with a delay at or near 609, since that is the one you got the most.

one thing how do you find your max frame ?

You choose your max frame. Your frame decides how many journal flips you will do.(Journal flips increase the RNG by 2. Therefore a frame of 70 would require 35 journal flips.) I find 500 would be my max limit.

It's very similar to getting a shiny Egg. You see, every time you flip to a page in your journal with a captured/defeated pokemon on it, it advances the RNG by 2.

(Example: Caught UXIE(DAY)/Defeated a female SHINX)
