I don´t understand, why the vast majority of tourists from all over the world, visit London only. The country side is so romantic! The ivy-covered old small houses, the pubs, canals, houseboats, bed-and-breakfasts, gardens, park landscapes with castles or manor houses, Sherwood Forest, old trees...
Thank you for the wonderful slideshow. I miss England (left in the fall of '78) and your photos brought back so many brilliant memories. I remember watching Kate on TOTP performing 'Wuthering Heights'... I was spellbound and have follwed her career ever since. :-)

I try to figure out why....but i know this mate....when I am alone in the forest, in my tent and sleeping bag, in England, waking up to the dawn with "Lark Ascending" by ralph vaughan in my head...oh yeah....I know I am home, and i touch the earth, and thank god I am English
i always end up listening to this track when my sons are on tour .

When I come back to England one day I will DEFINITELY do more touring. I've not seen nearly enough!
