You are right that once you see the need and know what to do, we cannot turn a blind eye to the orphans. All it takes is a willing heart for God to do great things.
God absolutely led us to our beautiful Ethiopian children and we are so thankful to have them in our lives! What you may not know is that had they been left in the care center and never adopted (while they would have remained in their "culture"), they would have most likely lived a life of abuse, prostitution, and extreme poverty and wouldn't have had the love of a family. I whole heartedly support Ethiopians adopting Ethiopians-this just isn't happening-and 6 mill. orphans wait.
