we were thinking of getting one, but we would have to import it, here in canada they dont have many, would be nice to use it for spraying/planting with 4ws, now we bought a nh tm115 with super steer, its ok but a little bit more power would be nice.
aye once ur in gear and stay there its better, i do all our braking in with bit pulling a 3 meter alex hay crumbler unit and work in medium (i think 4th or 5th gear) at 1500rpm at around 7.5 to 8mph and just work the powershift splitters for speed change, i just set the revs on hand throttle and slew my chair roun an put my feet up lol and program the four wheel steer to come in when ur lift is raised to turn at the headlands and work in rigs its brilliant :)
@TheRenaultMan89 ah sounds nice.. been doin corn cart in ours and when you pull away form the combine or chase it down the feild i go off in second and i find 3rd doesnt like me haa. so i tent to just stick in 2nd and snail down the feild haa.. still nice machine
@MdashMUNIT aye 3rd ad 5th are poor gears to find and paticularly 3rd never seems to be there when u need it most, we also use ours for clearing bales of silage from the fields with a 40ft artic and find that it performs well for 135 horse power and is real able for its size but do find that you need every splitter in every gear when cartin silage (including 1st low splitter) to get it wound up and away but once its away and moving i find it to be real able and quite game to pull.
@MdashMUNIT just to clarify, when i say cartin silage i dont mean a floor load i mean the full 26, 18 on the floor at double wide and a single row of 8 on top, thats bales of rye whole crop silage weighing an average of 0.8 tonne, if you do the math thats 20 odd tonne of bales plus 7.5 tonne of tractor plus another 6-7 tonne of dolly and artic leaf giving a total of about 35 tonne gross :O and its always when u hit 2nd high split at full throttle and you clutch to shift 3rd decides to vanish :(
@TheRenaultMan89 ah nice sound prett heavy.. more than our grain trailer and 15tonne of wheat or around that... still a brand spanking new mf or jd would be nice haha
yer it dose have a better cab, she a beast mate iam know to over take lorries at times wen there going slower than me, got a demo of the 2000 series in a few week and the new 7000 series aswell
magic once ur flat out an dont do anythin but steer lol
bad gearboxes, 3 especialy, having to clutch the splits is a nuisance aswell, also the beep clutch when using the shuttle is a pain in the arse, ours isnt the smoothshift model lol
id imagine the newer models of the 2000 series are a bit more refined than the older version like our though, surely the newer ones arent such a pig to drive
3185 eh, thats a fair machine, the 3000 series has the better cab too doesnt it?
