Goon was actually a very competent wrestler named Bill Iriwn. He was one half of the Longriders tag team with his brother Scott, and held several regional titles in the NWA and whatnot. Sadly when he went to WWE, it was near the tail end of his career anyway.

I think this gimmick had potential, silly as it was. Hockey Fights are always exciting and entertain the fans. I can see where they were coming from with the whole gimmick, but the execution could have been better
