It's been so long and I had so many names on there, but dang man I miss the friggin zone and AOE II. I miss deathmatch the most, but custom scenario was fun to, World Map anyone? Maybe a little Germs? LBC, CND, iLLuSiOns, PT, ZT, I must of been in or friends with like 200 different clans on there over all those years, kind of makes me sad I can't remember it too well, but either way it was the best video gaming next to N64 that I have ever had, and a big time part of my childhood....dang

wow i remember this. Basically what made me stop playing age of empire once this shut down i couldnt find how to play on the other site so multiplayer was over for me what a shame tho. however i had a small treat just now i went back to zone.com to find over all these years my account was still logged in XD i completly forgot about my clan name and account so it was cool being able to see it again

shame on zone..there are many players who never played online could connect from the game..we could get many active players now..bt exactly what happened they close it?financial maintenance problem?

This is depressing 11(laughing taunt on aoe2). Me and the tons of friends i made on the zone could play all day everyday and be completely happy, it feels like im missing half of my family now. I havent talked to anyone from the Elit3 clan that i miss so much since that terrible day in 2006. So many memories =)

Ah this brings back memories. I used to be a member plus +TheMegaTop I remember when they told everyone the news...everyone tried to fight to prevent them from changing it but they did it anyway. The zone is useless now, it averages 140k people daily back then with the lobbies the average was 300k + the number has been declining slowly over the years and soon, they will simply shut it down completely. Unless another company buys it and resurrects the old zone, lol.

Man i cant believe microsoft, even tho thousands of us said no to their new shitty ways, ignored all of us. I didnt play the AoE but i played the checkers, chess eetc and it was more than a game. We all made friends there, massive communitys, and fair enuff we had each other on msn, but the ones who didnt know it closed, lost them forever lol sounds melodramatic i know but its true. Miss the old zone =[

Yea I remeber playing on the zone in the OLD days, about 10 years ago when I used to play mechwarrior 3 and mechcommander gold all the time lol, I sure do miss getting off work and the first thing I could think about doing was jumping on the zone during the weekend and playing and chatting with all my friends especially my best friend speedrig. Gosh I'd give just about anything to have it all back and play every now and then.
