LOL @ 'eat some african ass' - funny how samoans and tongans are so critical about how a taualuga & tau'olunga shoud be performed ..but i think its good! .. so that we can preserve the culture in its true form .. none of the contemporary shit. btw its not really samoan.. i understand how people would feel that cos a lot of girls who siva the taualuga move around waaaay too much .. you hardly ever see a proper performance .. taupou is to move slow and gracefully .. credit to the dancer for trying

How about you all go and eat some African ass. I'm sure they know what the hell they're doing. It's all for entertainment. I'm Tongan as well and know damn well how a tau'olunga should be performed, but do you really think people are going to pay money and sit through a :"Traditional Tongan" tau'olunga? These girls do a pretty good for being Americans. And who cares if theres a Samoan feel to it. Our languages are pretty similar, are you all going to make a big deal out of that as well?

ok u professional Tongan dancers give these kids credits for doing their best.....everyone is not the same....some are non or half Tongans....even in Tonga some can't do it the proper ways........they're trying their best........peace out!

this is a nice song, that looks like melelua and heu up there behind her, and she dances just like melelua so maybe she learned it from her...give the dancer a break guys, sheesh...not everyone dances the same....they're doing their best.....good job! but the guy dancing, afa, u should learn to tulaufale a little better or a little more tongan lol...good job tho :)

if yal tongans yal sho don't move like it in ya dance.if you watch other tau'olungas you can see the difference.even if you were to move fast to play for the crowd it still would be graceful.the guy is just not right he seem like he don't know wat to do the girls legs are everywhere and seem like she gon trip over them and the way you move yo legs and all just aint right.lol.tau'olunga just seem stiff and it seem like u trying to hard girl just relax.aint tryna be rude.

ummmm you can tell that she's twistingg her wrist too much, and doesn't look as much of a tongan tau'olunga as it should, and might i add it looks as if it has a totally differerent feel to it.........

Im full tongan** and the one who suggestd this dance has a samoan feel to it- I agree. The way she places her feet and actions are somewhat diiferent to a properTongan tauolunga. and on that note: Tongan tauolunga does not require the lifting of your feet often and most definitely not that high. So yes, the sense that this dance has a samoan feeling to it- is applicable. But who knows she maybe half Tongan and Samoan. But good dance overall.

@SoeLychE101 I think the reason why it feels a lil samoan because she moves around a-lot!!!! but i think this is more for the show(to make it a lil more exciting and to use the whole stage) rather than it is a traditional tongan dance which is done mainly in place with a lil leg movement.

in samoan dance,,, there is a lot more of a fast pace to it & the girl'sz have a lot of movement & the dance involve'sz the movement of ur whole body...

in tongan dance,,, the music is jus a tad bit slower & the girl'sz remain still a lot & can almost never jump unless it'sz to emphasize a point in the dance... the focus is mainly on da story told with the hand'sz....

however,,, boy'sz in both dance'sz to do pretty much the same thing & a wonderful smile is also needed...
