  • @nickpontoski... 6. just replaced mine a few weeks ago

  • Hey...the instrument cluster lights on my 99 ford explorer are starting to go out and I want to replace them with red ones...any idea of how many I will need to buy in order to have all the cluster lights be red?

  • Hey guys just a heads up you'll need to go with a 5 smd bulb. I've gone through and installed the single led that look like a bulb and it isn't bright enough. If you have the patience to wait order them from china. I got 10 of them for 7 bucks. They sell the sand style in the us but with ridiculous prices. So just go to eBay and search 5 smd or t10. You'll see a large variety some with 10 + smd but it won't clear. Also use a o ring on the socket because for some reason if it's fully seated it w

  • I'm trying to do this same mod, but not sure which LEDs to go with, you say they're the 5 sided SMDs? I got some regular bulb style LEDs and some flat top ones with 10 tiny SMDs, pretty sure I'm gonna have hotspots, so just tryin to narrow down the exact type LEDs to alleviate this.

  • Did u have to get rid of the green film or just install the bulbs?

  • @expo302 nope older style gauges come out blue with white leds. Tutorial coming soon for anyone interested. sorry for the wait.

  • @scrogathon definitely interested in seeing the tutorial, i want to do this to my 97

  • Duude thats sick!

  • im going to assume this are the same for the 2000 ford explorer, how do u know the size for these

  • are they able to be dimmed down like regular bulbs?

  • Did you sand off the green like i see in tons of videos of just put blue led's in there?

  • ok do you think you can make a video on how to install theme?

  • how mucht was that?

  • @zachary5456 about 20$ worth of leds from ebay.

  • Thanks to this video you convinced me to do the led swap, and it looks amazing! Thanks! :)

  • What's the beam pattern on those bulbs (120 degree, 360 degree, etc.)? The ones I'm getting for my '98 Mercury Mountaineer are 360 degrees and I'm just trying to figure out whether or not 360 degree beam bulbs are necessary or not since yours look so good.

  • @PIchillin456 sorry for super late reply, they were white 5 smd 194's from ebay
