cal is like phil jackson, they aren't great x and o guys, but they are good motivators, and know how to control players ego's to make them play as a team...cal is one of the best defensive coaches in the game, his teams are always in the top 10 or 15 in defensive categories

No one is noticing that Calipari is coming after recruits that verbally commit to Adidas-affiliated schools. Teague-Louisville, Selby-Tennessee, Kanter & Jones-Washington. Nike is pimping UK for potential endorsement deals when they bail to the NBA and they won't stay at UK long enough to win a Regional Final or best team GPA. If UK owns UofL, UT and UW, then Nike owns UK.

Contrary to your belief, Cal can coach, and sure as hell develops players. To take the youngest team in the tourney to elite 8 w/no true shooting guard is a good coaching job. Not his fault we went cold and couldn't hit a shot, one of those nights. You don't just go 35-3 if you can't coach, w/5 straight 30 win seasons.. lucky shot away from a title @memphis. GTFO!

I don't seem that happening with kentucky if cal keeps getting one and dones. and you are wrong about cal developing players. Wall, evans, rose, and cousins could have been coached by any bum of a coach and would have made it straight to the nba. Cal can't coach, period. He can sure damn recruit, thats why his teams go far.
