This album had the coolest cd art I've ever seen. I remember putting it in black, and then when I pulled it out it was white and I was like "what the fuck!?". Then it turned black again, crazy.
I love the song Tighten Up, but why does their official video have to suck so much! They need a brand new videographer to interpret their music. It deserves a lot better than it got.
Please, if you think it's so easy to make a living at music without "selling out" give us ONE example of an artist you love who anyone has heard of. Just one? Didn't think so.
Anyone who disses the keys for selling their music for commercials doesnt get it. There are only two record labels and it's next to impossible to get a deal.when A company wants to pay for their sound everyone wins. We hear the music, the keys can pay their bills, and cadillac sells cars. Now the band can relax and make more music. I'm sure all the bands playing in front of 7 people but have a great sound wd "sell out" if it allowed them to keep going. Right on Black Keys, I dig the licks.
All this video shows is how much of sell outs they are... I love there music but i can only take seeing them all over the television commercials for cars and other bull shit so many times.

This album had the coolest cd art I've ever seen. I remember putting it in black, and then when I pulled it out it was white and I was like "what the fuck!?". Then it turned black again, crazy.

Anyone who disses the keys for selling their music for commercials doesnt get it. There are only two record labels and it's next to impossible to get a deal.when A company wants to pay for their sound everyone wins. We hear the music, the keys can pay their bills, and cadillac sells cars. Now the band can relax and make more music. I'm sure all the bands playing in front of 7 people but have a great sound wd "sell out" if it allowed them to keep going. Right on Black Keys, I dig the licks.

@chemoman1 Jeez. I like their music, it is good, regardless of them selling out. But i think that they've been selling out a bit too much. I've seen way to many commercials, movies and tv shows featuring their music. More than any band of their "level". I like their music, but it makes me respect them as people and a band a little less every time i see things like that. This is not an attack on you or anyone else, just my thoughts.

But we don't really know, we can't really determine that, its up to them. As long as their musical quality remains untouched, they can appear on Dora the explorer for all I care. Just my 2 cents here as well.

@chemoman1 It's cool. They can do whatever they want, but to me, the second they start giving their rights to things like car commercials makes me instantly lose respect. It just shows a bit of their character and mind set. Good for them for being successful, and i like their music, but because of them selling their rights to those kinda of causes, i just can't respect them as much as other bands who don't sell out, regardless of skill.
