hes duping you all if u look closely it says 4.2.1 on his software version

@slugfest06 That's because the iPod Touch 2G cannot be upgraded to 4.3.1. I memorize the process for 4.3, as it has pretty much remained the same throughout the years. It really makes no difference that my iTunes says 4.2.1, heck, I could be on 4.1 and still demonstrate this process. It makes no difference.

I am about to pull my hair out. Your video is the best one I've seen, but I still need help. I am pretty familiar with JB and normally use redsn0w. I have a MAC FYI. I have downloaded everything (just like you say.. as far as I can see that is). But when I go to search for my IPSW and select it, pwnage tool says that it is the wrong IPSW. Please please please help. I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

I just got an error that said "please install ramdisk fixer" while building the IPSW and I did and installed it. Same thing happened again...

Btw why can't we use simple mode?

@Hockeysktr17 Simple mode doesn't let you browse for the ipsw, it try's to look format itself, which can take a while. Make sure your tetheredboot folder is on your desktop, otherwise ramdisk fixer won't work.

@WowThisBandSuxx This is a tethered jailbreak. You have to boot your device in a tethered state using TetheredBoot via Terminal, which I show you how to do. You must do this every time you want to start up your device in order to access Cydia. I said that in the video. Maybe if you payed attention....

@hardbb you are trying to edit the dmg. You can't do that. That is why I drag it into the /Applications folder, and eject the dmg. Play attention to 2:04
