Hi Happy Cabbie. I found tiny 1 1/4 inch balloons (not inflated) that worked really well as ornaments and Rudolph noses. The kids and other moms enjoyed this tree design. Also, I didn't have the geo blossom balloon, so I made your star pattern to act as a base around the trunk. It worked well and the little bubbles looked like snow. Thanks for posting!!

Yes and I am kicking myself for not using a geo blossom for the star but just put a puff of air into it without inflating it and tie a knot. This will keep it standing up and then just attach it to the top. I would recommend a yellow Geo.
