I see weapons. Idk what the ROE was back in 2007 seven but I see armed enemy forces. I see a threat. Who knows. By killing these 10+ insurgents these guys might of saved the lives of a squad of Infantrymen.

And it would fall almost straight down because of the fact that the top half was bearing down onto the middle(which could not hold the weight) somewhat like if you made a tall card house and just took two floors out of the middle, it would take everything down and relatively straight.

I can see how this happen and how it made sense in the moment. Not being told that they had cameras I would with out a shadow of a doubt say they were armed. Exp when he leaned around the corner taking photos. People around them with weapons didn't help and they def had AK-47's. It is very very sad that this happen but war is war. People die. At least the troops had enough sense to try to save the children. All in all the risk these reporters take they are well aware of the dangers of the job

@ZackMTruhan first, the camera men were not wearing proper ID to signify they were photographers, they were aslo standing within an enemy group (even photographers with our troops are shot, they should be aware of the risks of being in a war zone) secondly the soldier who carried both children to the Bradley said he saw a few AKs and an RPG (in the beginning of the vid you can see two men with AKs in the group and one with an RPG who even pointed it at the helicopter.

The soldier who carried the two orphaned children went on camera to say he was happy that this video was released so that the american public can see first hand what is going on over there. They were heavily armed and the two correspondents were among them and were NOT wearing any identification on their persons within the war zone: i.e Red Crescent;Red Cross; Journalist; Media, etc...perhaps our ROEs should have allowed engagement at the Mosque - period.
