I really thought that this was Bob Marley's song. If it's UB40's song, that's just as cool. Either way, it's a great song.

I researched for a good 30 minutes after getting these comments. It seems as though it's a toss-up between bob and UB. Can somebody give some proof to who wrote this song?

@Hipcatkb Neil Diamond created the original in 1968, then UB40 made a cover in 1983 and really made the song famous, Bob Marley has never released a cover though.

But if you had to say who's song it is then it would be Neil Diamond as he wrote it.
